Leicester are going down. Which is incredible, given where they were a few years ago (arguably the best run club in the league), but it's how quickly things can unravel, particularly when you don't have players committed to the club playing every week. I've been really impressed with Gary O'Neil - that Bournemouth team should be rooted to the bottom but he's done superbly well.

Dean Smith? Fucking really? I think he's a nice guy, but what on earth makes them think that'll work?
Re Leicester I think the issue they have is that that don’t have any money to pay a manager a lucrative contract, and if that manager keeps them up they’re basically only going to be able to spend the proceeds from selling Maddison.

So they’re only in the market for a cheap manager who is desperate enough for a route back into a Premier League job that they’ll take a job where the reward for surviving a relegation battle this season is to try and survive another one next season.

Probably not but we could have loaned them out to get game time till they were ready for our 1st team.

Dean Smith in at Leicester with Shakespare returning and Terry joining. Think Shakespeare returning for them and Terry focusing on defending with their back 4 is their best chance of survival available but i'll think its too late for Leicester and Southampton now

Dean Smith getting a nice reward for his previous failures elsewhere. Bonkers.

I have a bit of sympathy for Smith. Got Villa promoted, built the team around a star man, struggled when said star was sold and didn't quite get the rebuild right which is a problem top managers also often suffer from.

Then he took Norwich immediately after being sacked which was just a mad and terrible decision by him, the club was free fall and he just never got a grip on things. I wouldn't judge him on that spell at all other than that it was the wrong decision to go there.

I think he's a decent manager. Odd interim appointment but he might do well his next permanent job.

I think Everton are going to get out of it again, they probably have the easier run in on paper compared to the teams around them. Forest and Leeds look tough runs but think Southampton and Leicester are down, so it will be one of Forest and Leeds, most likely Forest as they just don't appear to be able to defend.

Anyone else think that the Arsenal v Chelsea match being moved to 3 days later at the request of the MET is a bit dodgy? Originally this game was to be played on the evening of 29 April, just 3 days after their away game against City. Now Arsenal get a 6 day break before the Chelsea match and still have 5 days to recover before the Newcastle game.

Just hope it blows up in their face again like when they got their match against us moved last season.

Seen a few Arsenal fans acting like it s a huge win for them and tbh I don't really see how it changes anything. Seeing as Chelsea also have a midweek game it just means both teams have a longer break and more recovery time. With UCL Chelsea have a pretty hectic schedule leading up to it so it may even benefit them.

Also means newcastle have 8 days rest before their game with arsenal, whereas arsenal only have 5. That's the far harder fixture of the 2.

Let's be honest, if Chelsea are still in the CL at that point they wont give a fuck about the Arsenal game, despite it being one of their biggest rivals. They've fluked 2 CL's in recent years, every chance they do it again.

Not sure I can take Arsenal winning the league and Chelsea winning the CL.

The two sets of fans will be holding hands and signing about Spurs at that game and probably delighted to see each other anyway. Weirdos.

This is excellent news, for once.

Good that something is being done but for atleast 1 generation its akin to shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. We have a massive massive gambling problem in this country and the shamless advertising of it before, during & after matches also needs to be addressed rather than just the shirts.
