The hundred million to buy Grealish and the massive wages Haaland is on helps.I used to believe that, but after what I’ve seen from arsenal this season and Liverpool in other seasons and even when Poch was here who wasn’t backed. I’m not so sure money is the be all and end all anymore.
Totally agree, three quarters of that starting XI yesterday were starters before Howe took over.Seems like Eddie Howe has got the backing of his players and board. If they hired someone else they didn’t believe in I don’t think they would be in the top 4, so that’s the point I am trying to prove.
I’ll be surprised if they drop more points before the City game as they face a bad West Ham team and very poor Soton team. It’s the run of games that starts with them travelling to City which could cost them the title:Liverpool proving that you need to fight fire with fire against Arsenal/City if you plan to beat them or atleast put up a fight.
Glad the race is in City’s hands now, but I always had a feeling arsenal would drop points at this point of the season and I think they may drop more before that game away to City.
Read that as Jenas for some reason.Jones has been poor, needs replacing
Anyone see Salah dive near end. No doubt Neville & Carragher didn't mention it either.
Too slow on the ball. Dawdles.Jones has been poor, needs replacing
Seriously hope they investigate it and rather than fining the official they slap a ban on Robertson for confronting the lino at half time. The elbow on Robertson: couldn’t have happened to a more suitable bloke. Absolute scumbag on the pitch and got what he deserved for grabbing the official.
I agree. I think Robertson should be banned for grabbing him. Mitrovic length ban. Completely unacceptable behaviour from a known scumbag, the official was dragging his arm away from Robertson grabbing him and caught him in the face. Fully deserved and a joy to see!!Seriously hope they investigate it and rather than fining the official they slap a ban on Robertson for confronting the lino at half time.
There is no reason for the reaction without him being grabbed / pulled first and let’s be honest we all know what Robertson is like shouting at officials

Nah. The FA/PL/EFL/whoever need to be heavy handed on this and stamp out some of the behaviour we're seeing.I think that is how the situation went down. It was an inadvertent elbow. I dont agree that Robertson should be banned. In my view, this situation is a nothing situation. Id move on. Both could have dealt with it better but int he heat of the moment - id just let it slide.
Not every situation has to be made into a mountain. Its becoming an annoying and farcical period of people moaning about referees and people wanting players to be ostracized.
Agree, surrounding a match official every-time you want a free kick, penalty etc or to complain about it seems like intimidation. I also wonder whether they removed any rules about respecting the match officials(I doubt it) but I always find it interesting when a player is screaming at a ref to fuck off that they don't get booked for dissent.Nah. In the last few months there have been numerous incidents where players are starting to see fit to put their hands on the match officials. Usually to spin them round in a "you will look at me whilst I'm arguing the toss/screaming abuse at you!!!!" manner, but inevitable if that becomes a thing you'll get hotheads like Mitrovic and his incident.
It's not good optics, it's just going to give people less reason/want to referee, and the impact is probably greater further down the pyramid at the grassroots if people see the pro's doing it so they'll do it too.
As for the linesman, I think he's probably going to have to sit out a week or two whilst it dies down, and as a general rule we can't have players/coaches/officials retaliating even if they have been wronged, but I'm not seeing what he's done wrong really. He's instinctively tried to brush someone off as he's being grabbed and ends up giving him a bit of a tap in the face. The LINESMAN ELBOWS PLAYER!!! headlines we've been getting in the last 24 hours are doing some heavy lifting and imply it was like an unprovoked assault.
I believe you can tell them to fuck off, if you say ‘fuck you’ it’s bookableAgree, surrounding a match official every-time you want a free kick, penalty etc or to complain about it seems like intimidation. Brentford game is a banana skin for city. Chelsea might get something against Arsenal
