View from the lane has gone in like a Romero cruncher on him.

I have to agree with a lot of what I'm reading and listening to today which is I'm still in shock that he is still our manager. It's an absolute shit show yet again by Levy. We've known since the WC he won't sign a new deal and here we are 3rd week in March after he has had a huge pop at fans and completely thrown players under the bus while not recognising any failure of himself and yet he remains at the club.
This is up there with Levy's DNA interview and ending up with Nuno after 10 weeks of a search. It's farcical and if it was another club I would be loving it.

Then rose never played again for Jose. I can't remember, but I'm not sure it showed rose talking to Levy.

No issue with a chairman/ceo having an open door, that doesn't mean he undermined Jose.
I’m not so sure, given what goes on and the underlying culture, and noise about the top being involved in team affairs, I’d say it likely could be a scenario ( or necessarily undermiming) - an open door policy, can complain and settle for doing just enough etc

Just seen that our own Alasdair has released a new video, can't watch it this evening. If anyone does would appreciate a synopsis

5 live have too in the last hour. They think he’s treating us badly and the players don’t like him.

James Horncastle said he should never have taken the job on the Athletic football podcast and that now he’s actually making a mistake orchestrating this exit as he won’t get a better job anywhere else this summer.

I actually don't see any evidence to suggest there is a good reason to sack him OR have him see out the season. As we keep hearing that this is a terminal issue that goes to the very foundation of the club. So, logic dictates, based on that knowledge, sacking or keeping Conte makes no difference. Why the fuck are we even having this discussion?

Same with buying players, selling players, switching coaches, juggling DOFs, opening cheese rooms, closing cheese rooms, making go kart tracks, setting up Beyonce concerts, hosting NFL games, and on and on and on. As apparently none of this makes a difference because the rot runs so deep that the club is in a terminal state.

I get that there are problems. And identifying them is simple. If the club is swirling in an abyss of systemic decay and that changes at the coaching level are meaningless, and will do nothing to fix us, then let's pivot the discussion.

The diagnosis has been made. So, what's the remedy? What's the solution? I'm fed up with hearing about congenital problems. As it infers that our situation is hopeless.

I want to know, what is the solution? I assume those that are privy to the internal shit show, must have a few opinions of how it could be overhauled? Or, are we saying that the club is cursed and nothing can be done?

C'mon. Surely someone with inside info much have a point of view that comes from a place of knowledge and insight, as opposed to minimally informed speculation? As we mere supporters, don't actually fully know why the club is decimated at its core. What caused this to happen? Why can't we find a panacea to heal our sickness?

Fucking thirty+ years now since we won the 1991 Fa Cup. Two League Cups have been won since (wohoo). There is only one common thread, during this time period - or at least one that has been there the longest... ENIC. So, is that the solution? Are they the disease? And we are beholden to this malady until we find a new doctor?

This chuffing club. Wow.

It’s so sad that the most entertainment I get from Spurs now is from Conte’s press conferences. I say we keep him in till the end of the season just so we can see who gets the blame next week.

Anyone already tired of the will he/won’t he get fired question? And it’s only the 1st day of the break. This is going to get unbearable over the coming 2 weeks. It really would be hilarious if he stays and we loose the game against Everton. I really just don’t see how he stays at this point now the press are all over it. It’s such a strange situation. Not that I think we necessarily should sack him from a football perspective (In regards to getting top 4) but it sort of starting to feel untenable even in the short term. Not that I care particularly, if it’s really just a choice between Conte and Mason until summer then I don’t see us ever getting top 4 ether way. I’m just so tired of having nothing to be optimistic or excited about regarding us. And to think there’s still 10 games left.

I think you might only have to wait until tomorrow. If it doesn’t happen on his first day back at the training ground then he’s in charge for Everton. So don’t worry about it until then if no need tomorrow.

He has a point. Its like any of the top managers, there are only a few jobs around they will take. The likes of Ancelotti can do the rounds of top clubs because he doesn't scorch the earth behind him. That's not Contes way. City, Chelsea, pool, man u and arsenal won't appoint him. Newcastle could but it looks like they are being run pretty smartly since they got the cash. Bayern wouldn't go near him, the two Spanish clubs are unlikely to appoint due to his demands & his truly shocking European record (same with PSG) so that means he's got an Italian club or a nouveau rich club as his only options.

Good fucking riddance

I think we’d have done it by now. All the noises seems to be that we are sticking with him for now.

In a weird way I’d rather he see his contract out. Whilst I am firmly on the Conte out camp and never really wanted him. I think this season is almost a write off and I’d rather we fail and refresh anew rather a new man than come in mid season to try and salvage it. This may do more damage than good in the long term if we can’t achieve our aims
We agree our manager for the start of the season, it’s a clean slate and players come back feeling fresh.
contes outspokenness may also address a few home truths to the players and board at the end of the season and we have time to put a viable strategy in place.
