Bielsa was like that but yeah not many do. It's a tricky one though because it's hard to criticise too much for Conte not committing. It would be easy for a manager to agree a 3 year contract and take 3 years worth of pay out of it. At least we're protected if things don't work out then we can change manager without paying off the current one. I do think the players should only be focused on this season anyway. I really don't think it's a big issue for them as is being made into by the fans. Nothing is certain anyway, a manager could lose a bunch of games and the fans turn leading to them getting sacked all of a sudden. There's no point worrying about next season yet.View from the lane lads, mainly James Maw and Jack Pitt Brooke, are saying they would be very surprised if he's here next season. Obviously only journos but JPB does cover us exclusively for Athletic so likely to have some sources.
Just pretty shit having this continued uncertainty over the main person at the club. I'm probably wrong but can't remember a top club ever having this sort of situation before (that doesn't involve another club trying to take the manager) where 3 months to end of season they don't know if manager is staying or not.
