Love for our club? Eh? Based on what?

Based on the fact that he rushed back to work after having an organ removed, the fact that he worked through the pain beforehand, the fact that he always says good things about the club. You don’t do those kind of things with logic. It defies logic so it must be emotion. Passion and love.

Christ, can we not say one good thing about the man without it being questioned?

Am I missing something here? Conte rushed back one week after surgery when he should have rested for two or three weeks at least. His Doctors have now thrown the book at him and he's reluctantly agreed to actually listen to the medical advice. But surely there is nothing here to suggest that he won't be back in a matter of weeks and bang up for the rest of the season?
you would think so.... but many people just want to put their own spin on what is a pretty clear situation.

Could our squad be more Ill equipped to play Enrique's football if we tried?
On the top of my head, I think it could actually be fairly suitable.

IIRC, Enriques teams have never relied on incredible physicality and intense pressing but rather on being well-drilled in terms of possession, off-the-ball movement, smart pressing & patience. Some would find his football boring but it would be fairly Cityesque and despite Kane & Son not being what they were in terms of intense pressing, I think there's potential to work well. We'd need a new CB to partner Romero and a creative mid, but other than that I think there would be a strong foundation to work with.

A way better starting position than we had prior to hiring Conte IMO.

He definitely is a man who needs a proper rest. The club also need to spin the PR to make it look for Conte and for the club. If any of that takeover talks are true. It would help to keep good PR and a sense of stability until the end of the season.

Feels a bit like Levy has said look mate, put your feet up for the next few months I’ll honour your contract, see out the season and let the contract expire at the end. Everyone is a winner, no public sackings and we move on.

The club and Conte need to do what’s best for Conte’s health first and foremost. Secondly, the club needs to consider what is best for the club. If Conte is unwell and due to leave at the end of the season regardless then it seems like a slightly early parting of ways is best for all concerned.

Bit stupid of him to rush back after surgery like he has.

Mad times.
People are. My dad had surgery recently and was under strict instruction to take two weeks off (He should be retired really but is clearly dreading it.) Within three days of being at home he was talking about going back. Had to go round and read him the riot act. He’s fine now, but it was a struggle to make him rest properly.

Some people are just wired in to be working all they can. Conte clearly needs a couple of weeks off and to listen to his doctors and family.

Very complicated situation.

But if I was someone close to Conte I'd be telling him to rest up. Three people close to him have just died and he needs to take time to grieve so he himself can heal from his surgery.

Its not worth it, Antonio. Stay with your family, take time to rest and enjoy being with them.
He's going to end up the same way as his mates if he's pushing things when he's not fit to do so. I've been behind Conte throughout this and the ideal scenario for me was to back a manager that was always going to require that level of financial support. It's been yet another joke appointment by the board completely missing many over riding factors that would need to go hand in hand with hiring Conte.

When he was brought in everything coming from the club was that he was going to be backed, levy was going to take a back seat and FP was going to have control over who came in and out with Conte's blessing obviously. The first January window was a good one bringing in Bentancur and Kulusevski and things looked to be right on track. Then came the Summer and Djed Spence. Levy saw £££ signs and had to have him despite Conte not being overly interested at all. We did OK in that Summer window addressed a couple of issues but never managed to get the CB, that Conte wanted. Levy made a huge deal of telling us they were going to pump £150mil into the transfer fund, that quietly dwindled down to £100mil and we still didn't have that CB we needed.

I maintain my position that regardless of who we bring in it will all fall apart sooner rather than later because Levy is Levy. I am now of the opinion that he needs to go for his own sake more than ours because he'll end up in a hole next to Vialli and Ventrone if he carries on with us. Lets just hope we've actually got some sort of coherent plan to move forward, but I sincerely doubt it. I expect it to be Poch, but as I say it could be anyone because I doubt he'll get what he needs in the long term.

Absolutely no chance it can be given to Stellini or Mason till end of the season.

So much to play for. Very winnable FA cup, CL tie and Champions League qualification still all up for grabs.

Stellini and Mason who saw us to 3pts v Man City?

so why would poch come back if he knows levy and what levys like, is poch foolish to think Levy will change ? or is he just happy to have a job back in the PL?

Stellini has a 100% record this season without Conte in the dugout. I would take performances like the one v City until the end of the season.

I wish Conte a speedy recovery and good health ❤️

But this is the beginning of the end isn’t it, I fully expect in the next couple of weeks a mutual agreement for him to leave.

I imagine now we’re sounding out a new manager.

Because this fanbase has it engrained into them that anything positive has to have a negative angle or slant on it.

They are taking over until Conte is back. I haven't seen anything to say Conte is gone for the rest of the season (might have missed it)

So his 2 coaches take over and continue his work
