‘No timeframe’ on his return ??‍♀️
This could actually play out how many hope. With some time for reflection he may well decide to call it now if a mutual fee can be agreed. But I don’t see that coming from our side. It only makes sense to part ways if we have a very clear plan for his replacement and considering how much is up in the air with Paratici, Conte and even potential investment on the horizon I can’t imagine Levy has any clue of what to do right now. Well, accept for running back to Poch.

Has Levy got anybody other than Poch to go to?

Especially after pissing off half the coaches in world football searching for Jose's replacement.
Of course. We are the 6th biggest club in the biggest league in the world which is in European competition every season, has considerable financial power, the best facilities around a pretty good squad (bar GK and CBs). Can't tell me the likes of de Zerbi, Luis Enrique, Thomas Frank etc wouldn't want to manage us.

He clearly wasn't well at the last match - you could see it in the way he looked and the way he spoke in the interviews, etc. He needs to rest up for a few weeks and spend time with his family. Hopefully he will come back stronger and well rested and ready to rock for the rest of the season.

Very complicated situation.

But if I was someone close to Conte I'd be telling him to rest up. Three people close to him have just died and he needs to take time to grieve so he himself can heal from his surgery.

Its not worth it, Antonio. Stay with your family, take time to rest and enjoy being with them.

Stellini and Mason made a great tactical decision that probably won us the match v Man City. Can't imagine Conte would have done anything like that. I'd be happy enough for Stellini to see us to the end of the season personally (then join Conte at Juventus?).

They may like to manage the club but do they want to work with the Poison Dwarf.

Shouldn't have been allowed to return so quickly. Whether he stays with us or not, his health is what matters. Especially when he has lost close friends recently.

Absolutely no chance it can be given to Stellini or Mason till end of the season.

So much to play for. Very winnable FA cup, CL tie and Champions League qualification still all up for grabs.

Just so i know, does that mean it's their fault if we lose to West Ham?

Need to know the direction to aim my pitchfork ;)

Luis Enrique and Tuchel are the only other high profile managers that spring to mind. Other than that it's slim pickings (Benitez, Bielsa etc)

I mean, Enrique would be a fantastic appointment, IMO.

As others have said, I think the right decision has been made re Conte. Let his team handle it while he recovers properly. Whether we like it or not, his future was always going to be decided at the end of the season, barring something truly catastrophic. As fans, all we can do is get behind the team in the upcoming home games against rivals.

It won't matter one jot who our manager is while they have to work with one hand tied behind their back.

My head says he should be the first choice, even if my heart says Mauricio.

Could our squad be more Ill equipped to play Enrique's football if we tried?

Am I missing something here? Conte rushed back one week after surgery when he should have rested for two or three weeks at least. His Doctors have now thrown the book at him and he's reluctantly agreed to actually listen to the medical advice. But surely there is nothing here to suggest that he won't be back in a matter of weeks and bang up for the rest of the season?

It’s nearly impossible to know what will come next, there’s so many different variables in play.

Pochettino seems the clear favourite but even that could hinge on Paratici. If his ban isn’t extended to England, Poch may not necessarily want to work with an omnipotent DoF and Paratici might not even want him as he’s hellbent on appointing rigid managers who play a back 3.

Madness, but this actually makes me feel more confident about getting a result on Sunday. With the greatest of respect and sympathy to Conte, I feel like his whole demeanour recently can’t be helping the team. At least this way he can recover fully properly and we have someone managing the team whose heart and head is fully in it. Even if nothing changes with the team that’s picked, there might be a more proactive response to game management and subs. Anyway, get well soon Antonio
