It does make you wonder how long it’s been causing him grief though as it’d explain the change in his persona just before Christmas.
I actually think he could do with six months off with his family from a physical and mental perspective.

I heard this morning that Poch has been contacted by both Leeds and Southampton over the last couple of weeks and flat out wasn't interested in either, one of which offered him a contract until the end of the season.

Whether that means he's not interested in taking a team in a relegation scrap, not willing to take any team mid season, or all ready has something lined up is anyone's guess, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't the latter tbh.

I think it's a combination of all three in my opinion.

Think the concern about the replacement being an interim is misplaced: there's a manager we know wants it living in London right now twiddling his thumbs, and we know the club would be happy to offer it to him. If/when the towel is thrown in, that cuddly Argentine gets the call.

In fairness, Conte is very much an interim manager anyway.

I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t come back before the end of the season. You don’t pay someone over £1m a month to recover in another country.

Saying that, this is Tottenham so who knows. There should be a mutual parting now but it seems Levy is hellbent on having yet another caretaker manager waste the remainder of this season when we still have top 4 within our grasp and an FA Cup run campaign which is heavily swaying in our favour.
We beat City with Stellini at the helm, they are top of the league atm. Who’s to say that he and Mason cant achieve something this season? Get well soon, Antonio.

How long before "We have mutually agreed to terminate Antonio's contract as he takes the time needed to recover. Ryan Mason will assume first team duties for the remainder of the season. We wish Antonio well."?
Won’t happen. It will be Stellini who finishes the season. And we probably don’t have anyone lined up to take over now, so let the current staff (including Ryan) continue in their jobs.

But then where does that leave us in the summer? Stellini is Conte’s trusted right hand man and the rest of the backroom staff, excluding Mason, are Conte’s team.

Say Stellini takes the job, which I actually doubt he would do, who’s to say Conte doesn’t take a job in the summer and take his entire back room staff with him?

I’d much rather we rolled the dice with Pochettino than kicked this can down the road whilst continuing to pay Conte >£1m a month for sitting at home.

Conte takes the rest of the season for health reasons, Stellini sees out his contract as "caretaker manager" until the end of the season and then links back up with Conte next season wherever he is??

I’d rather we let new owners make this decision…

The "Fucking" element of your comment wasn't actually needed.

I’m just so sick of the way our club is run, it wasn’t a slight on Conte, this is a perfect opportunity to move on and try and salvage something from this season before we have nothing left.

Trix is right, we need to have someone lined up and make it a quick transition if that’s what we’re gonna do.

Levy will already have a shortlist, if he hadn’t he’s even more incompetent than we all thought.

Has Levy got anybody other than Poch to go to?

Especially after pissing off half the coaches in world football searching for Jose's replacement.

Conte obviously came back too early for the Leicester match - not only for his own well-being but if he wasn't fit enough to jump up and down and scream at the players then we'd have been better off letting Stellini continue. He's clearly liked and respected by the players - if he strings a couple of wins together maybe they'll just sort of informally hand the reins to him until the end of the season.

With our current trajectory our season is going to peter out into nothing. I'd rather give it to Mason and just hope we either get a freak mangerial bounce or he implements some great tactical ideas which improve us.

Luis Enrique and Tuchel are the only other high profile managers that spring to mind. Other than that it's slim pickings (Benitez, Bielsa etc)
