It seems wrong to paint Zaha as having a poor mentality if he doesn't want to join a bigger club and not play as regularly.

He joined Utd too young and it didn't work out. He appears to have loved playing for Palace and has thrived being their main man.

If that is what he wants from his career, to actually enioy playing football, it is hardly a bad character trait.

Players regularly get criticised for choosing money and the lifestyle over playing the game. I guess when it comes to possibly not joining our club for this reason, they are suddenly a bad character.

Seems it's between Zaha and James to replace Bryan.
Really?

The James link never appeared true to me. Zaha seems to be someone we're keeping tabs on but there's little to suggest we're putting our hopes into him coming.

is it? If Zaha comes he would be replacing Gil, so this is connected.

That's just all guesswork and presumptions, it's not what the thread is for. It might end up that Zaha comes in, but that's not the point of these threads otherwise they just get spammed with nonsense links.

Going off articles I've seen. If I'm not mistaken Ally mentioned his name as well.

yes but the link is saying Gil is off pending we bring in a replacement so it shows there would be room for Zaha to come, he is one of our targets. If Gil doesn’t go Zaha is a non-starter.

But there's nothing in the link to say Zaha, that's my point. By your logic we should post the tweet in all the attacking targets we've been linked with.

I appreciate your point. However, there’s a little more flexibility in these threads than the ITK one.

Surely if he wasn't looking to move to a bigger club and would prefer a lesser club just to be certain to start every game why would he be leaving Palace in the first place?

We don't that he is. If he does, we don't know where he is going.

If he does join a bigger club, I won't see this as him having a bad attitude anymore than if he stays. It's his life and career and who he plays for is his choice.

But the posts suggesting he has a poor mentality due to, allegedly, not wanting to join us, are just wrong in my view.

is he not home grown?
Apologies for any inaccuracies. My understanding is that he’s homegrown for the Premier League, but as he spent 3 years with Swansea, he’s not association trained by Uefa rules, as Swansea are under the Welsh FA.

Edit: for clarity, this is about Dan James.
