We do, with Reguilon the one to make way if we do.
Not exactly ITK but I was on a train to brighton this evening and got chatting to a guy and his kid who was in full Tottenham garb.

The kid was at a trials day, dad got to hang out/get a tour of Spurs Lodge and both he and kid got to meet Reggie. Doesn’t mean anything exactly but he hasn’t been turfed out. I assumed he would have been gone for the summer but he’s still working away at the training ground.

Just to add to this.

Before Neymar went to PSG, it was UOL Brazil who reported it first.

It got pretty much refuted by every European media source who said it was a made up rumour.

UOL doubled down and said it's in the works and PSG and Neymar were talking. Barca sources again rejected it.

A week or so later. PSG reached the agreement and Barca were left red faced.

UOL Brazil seem to get some great sources of info which sounds to me like the Brazilian players agents/intermediaries are feeding them info that is top secret.
Barca rejected the transfer even after it had happened and technically they weren't wrong. The courts eventually ruled that Neymar had terminated his contract "without just cause". PSG paid off his contract rather than paying Barca a transfer fee.

In the case of Richarlison, it's hardly inconceivable that Everton is 100% against the transfer, but we're negotiating terms with his agent - who will then assist with strong-arming Everton into a deal.

For what it's worth David Ornstein of The Athletic had a piece today sourced from the Everton side that suggested that whilst there is no agreement on a fee yet, his sources felt the move would happen.

That doesn't mean it will because we don't know if there's a fee compromise both sides are happy with but it certainly looks like one to watch.

I suspect the Boro chairman is being a dick to everyone - he knows he has a diamond of a player on his hands (albeit a rough one), it'd be remiss of him not to try and extract the maximum value for his club.

Does annoy me the massive over inflation of English players - he’s had one good loan season and pretty sure only year left on his contract, so ridiculous if massive fees being asked for.

Its not good for the national team either tbh as stops playing moving on.
That’s why it is important to have a strong top quality youth set up. Thankfully we are now putting steps in place to revamp our poor youth set up. Hopefully we will trawl the country and bring in the best available youth players. We should be aiming for one to two players to be breaking into the squad every year. This will involve plenty of loans so that those who do not meet the highest standards for the squad are sold on to the lower prem and upper championship for a decent fee.

Gibson has an asset that at least two clubs want. He will sell but why go with the first offer? If you are selling a house and have 2 maybe 3 buyers interested you would play one off another to get the highest return. He has a few months to sell, question is does he risk losing a sale by pushing the buyers too far?

If Spence only wants to move to us, we could easily set a date in place for them to have agreed a deal with us or we move on to other targets.

Then the media picks up on our talks with other players, Spence gets irritated and puts pressure on Boro and advises them we are the only team he is interested in.

Spence however may he happy to move to another PL club and help Boro get as much as they can.

It is however paramount for us to have a RWB in place for the beginning of preseason, as it’s such a key position for Conte. Boro will know this and might just hold tight until we pay up what they’re happy with.

Doesn’t Gibson have a track record going back to Downing of over pricing players and getting too greedy? From what Herc has said it sounds like we will get there with the Spence deal but it will good to see it get over the line

On this point good on him. He has an asset that he wants top dollar for and doesn't have to sell. We applauded DL last year for doing the same thing. It's really exciting being so active in the window.
This week- when the internationals finish and players go on their holidays looks like it might be great. Before we leave for Korea Is going to be telling IMHO as once we are out there things might slow down a little on the recruitment train.
Another thing I found interesting is that we've been linked to both Roma and Seville players and we now have pre-season friendlies against both of them. Fun summer so far

I just don’t get how the Boro chairman is a “dick, idiot, muppet……and all the other names” some on here was ready to linch Levy for letting Dele go so cheap. A commodity is worth what the holder thinks and what the buyer is willing to pay. Let’s stop beings “dicks” in here.

I've met him. He's got a creepy handshake, which is a sound initial judgement of a man's credentials!

Player coming in tonight to the Lodge has to be Eriksen, surely?

I've done a bit of digging:-

Eriksen - Denmark playing at home tomorrow. Could be at home but likely in Denmark.

Spence - U21s playing at Huddersfield tomorrow. Team probably at St George's Park. Possible.

Richarlison - Pictured in Brazil 6 hours ago.

Bastoni - was out of Italy squad yesterday that was in England but has likely returned to Italy.
