A deal like this should've been done rather quickly Trix. I respect your opinions but we've tried loan to buy, haggled over fee etc. The delay appears to have allowed Barca to seize in and take him no?

Is it a/the deal Conte wanted done rather quickly?

Please only answer that if your name is Conte, otherwise you're not really in any place say when things should be done.

someone sent me this link (spanish) and it might have been posted elsewhere in the threads/site/

Supposedly it has Mendes all over it:

1) Wolves pay Adama's salary until end of season and Barca pay minimum required by La liga
2) Wolves buy Trincao but the buy option has Adama's salary deducted from the total

I can't read spanish and have no access to that site so could just be BS but would explain why he held up the sale

That's pretty brilliant if true from Barca/Mendes.

Surely people can probably realise the deal on the table to Barca was probably not the same deal on the table with us.

He wasnt signing a new deal, much better for Wolves he goes abroad than stays here. Plus why would any one choose Spurs over Barca... plus Mendes.... Good riddance.

Shouldn’t be legal. These sort of mega bellend agents ruin the game

Somehow I'm absolutely unsurprised to see Tottenham getting blamed for us not signing this Catalonian La Masia product when Barcelona have come in for him, as if there is some world where he was unaware of their interest, and if only we had paid up earlier in the window then he'd have been ours.

I think a lot of people are just assuming they know why this deal didn’t happen.

When we were first linked my first reaction was I didn’t want him. The more I looked into him, the more potential I saw.

So, I am disappointed at this seemingly not happening for us but now move onto the next target.

Wonder what the other clubs in La Liga will make of this, I dont know the whole background etc but I mean if Barca were having difficulties registering Torres, couldnt sign Morata how is this happening, and what happens if Dembele refuses to leave.
Not sure how it works with a loan. They always seem to find a way around the system though so maybe there's something in a loan deal to get around the salary cap.

So it seems that we messed Traore around all month taking too long to complete the deal, then Barca came in and done the deal in an afternoon.. this is not a new thing we are known for this disrespecting of players we are after.. as a result quite a few players have said they would never entertain Tottenham because of their way of doing business..
Loan until the end of the season and 30 million Euros with no obligation :-(
It really is pathetic isnt it.

I really don't understand how we do business , there is not a transfer window that has taken place in the last 5 years where we do business early on and get our targets in. It's always last minute and we don't end up getting any quality.

Cos levy loves a deal and still thinks it’s 2002 and he can just bully or mess around “smaller” clubs as and when.

those days are long gone.

I'm not going to pretend.

I'm disappointed.

Mostly in the fact that this club has again failed to obtain a primary target.

Getting sick and tired of it really.

Has the club again failed to obtain a primary target?

Or has it failed to obtain a target that you've been reading about?

€30m option. They won’t be paying that. It might as well be a €100m option.

Clearly another Mendes/Wolves “I’ll make it up to you” special.

Not that fussed, as long as the 20m we supposedly bid doesn’t disappear down the memory hole.

How weird.

It seems some on here can't handle that Adama Traore would rather play for the Superclub of his birth than join us.

They would rather pretend that the club didn't want him anyway.

Grow some Balls.

I’m finding the collective losing of shit by people on Twitter very funny. They want any reason to blame somebody for something so just grasping at any part of the reason why this transfer didn’t happen to bash the club with. Very amusing.
