Love the ITKs coming out thick and fast on this.

Surely someone not in management can have this possibility of things moving that fast? i.e Conte.

Really hope so.

Someone has clearly leaked that they met to discuss sacking him today. Absolutely no way he can stay now, his position was pretty untenable before that but absolutely impossible now.

My info is 80/20 he gets fired today it’s not 100% but there is a very high chance he does not see the day out

Fabio is trying to get him A reprieve as he was the one who really went into bat for him in summer , he has lost the players though

I think yesterday proved the last sentence. Regullion hasn’t played a minute since his subbing and public dressing down in the Olympic stadium. You can’t do that to players nowadays.

You seem to have a lot of extensive angry takes on Fonseca who plays exactly the kind of football everyone has been calling out for.

Show us on the doll where he touched you.
What is it with you and aggressively defending shit Portuguese managers?

You spent all last season defending mourinho, have spent this week arguing about nuno and now fonseca?

No need to be rude I just happen to think another failing manager will lead us back here again in a few months.

Jorge mendes shouldn't be choosing our managers.

I actually know a player who played under Conceicào and said he was the best coach he's ever played under.

The reason was because he was very positive with his players, coached them to be more attack minded and brave with the ball.

This was from his time at Nantes who had been coached boringly by Ranieri. Nantes soon shot up the table from the relegation places and that's how Conceicao got the Porto job.

The player who told me this is an attacking player and was sick of playing under Ranieri but loved playing under Conceicao because he got the best out of him.

He fights with the refs a lot but he is a motivator type coach who will want us to be braver on the ball.

He's not a defensive coach, those who believe that are wide of the mark.

Would I have him? I don't think he's the exact candidate because that should be Potter, Ten Hag or Gallardo but I'd take him til the end of the season and if he does well he can stay on.
Just to add, I'll be speaking to this player this week so if this turns out to be an appointment we make I can really understand what we are signing up for.

I have a better chance of taking over than Conte. Adjust your expectations accordingly, and it will make this process easier.

I've always felt that losing the players is one of the only reasons to fire a manager mid season. The reaction of the fans towards Nuno yesterday was one of the most intense I've seen after such a short time at the club.

As for Paratici, I've been impressed by his signings but his job is bigger than that. I really hope he has identified what we need and has strong input on the next hiring.
Yea in all my years found that was one of the biggest reactions against a manager I’ve seen. The reaction to the sun was fury and tbh I didn’t think it was the worst sub move in the world but the reaction was more than just that sub, fans never wanted him and don’t trust him.

Imagine the reception Jose would’ve got if fans were in under his tenure.

Its 2 years of build up frustration of decline. It’s also 20 years of frustration at ENIC/LEVY rinse and repeat mistakes.

Once you've lost the dressing room, you're basically fucked

He's got to be sacked now...cant have this leaked and then say we're giving him a vote of confidence when most of the fans and probably players to have no confidence in him.

I be stunned if this isnt announced today.

Please no more Mendes links though...ffs

If he doesn't do something substantial - like switch formation or drop slow uncommitted players en masse - he's going to deserve the sack. I don't have any suggestions for what he should do, other than affect change in a dramatic way. His team is shit and not worth watching. And the last 2-and-a-bit seasons of shit have worn everyone out. There isn't a single personality among Levy, Paratici, and Nuno worth keeping and these empty suits are destroying the fun of supporting Spurs, let alone destroyed what was once a competitive club.

I'm fine with him having two games to save his job.

This is season 4 of shit masked by the champions league run!

He's not the right man and sacking him is probably the right decision but man I feel for Nuno. This tweet sums it up well:

No one forced him to take the job.

This is the best squad he's ever had and he doesn't know what to do.

He was previously negotiating for the Palace job, he'll never get a job like this again.

Anyone else really apprehensive about our next move when we sack him?
Yes and no.

I have long defended Nuno here - but its clear as day that he is not the right man for this job. He simply has to go.

But, I have no faith in the people making the hiring decisions to get the right manager in.

Sounds like they are only meeting to discuss sacking him. Doesn’t mean they will but fingers crossed!

Surely though the news leaking about meeting to discuss his future is making his position pretty untenable! Can’t really give him a reprieve as we all know if that happens it’s still going to be a matter of when not IF Nuno will be sacked.

Fuck yea mate. As I’ve said Levy has about a 2 in 10 success rate of hiring managers so our next move could be absolutely anyone, really not sure what goes through that guys head but it’s clear as day he has no clue about what is good for the club on the football side.

Let’s hope Paratici has more sense as a footballing person but if he went to bat for Nuno initially and wanted Gattuso then we are fucked.

At least Paratici has a relationship with Conte so mabye he could convince him to come and sort out this mess.

I see why people wouldn’t want conte as they’d see it as a quick fix but this lot need a fucking rocket out their arses and conte if he joined (which he won’t) would need to be backed heavily so if he does then agreements will have been made as such as we should be excited about that as he is a top 5 manager in the world.

Otherwise go and get Potter or Ten Haag or Gallardo or next levels down Gerrard or Parker.

Many options. Lopetgui also would’ve been a good shout.

Hopefully not mate. It smells like this is the end of what should never have happened in the first place.

If we get rid now and agree to back Conte or Potter we could salvage our season and short-mid term future, keep Nuno much longer and this season is another write off waste of time.
It’s a shame that Conte is the least attainable as he’s exactly what’s required, not a yes man to those above him, has enough prestige about him to deliver some home truths to this group of players without losing their respect and our squad suits a 3atb formation really well, on that topic no idea why Nuno has persisted with a back 4 after the majority of his success at wolves came from a 3. Was never the right manager for us anyway.
