the bloke is an absolute c**t, just cannot help meddling can he!
To be fair he's stayed well out the way whilst Fab has been getting on with creatively bringing in players. As soon as it's up front cash required it's same old Levy.

Levy undoing what would be a heroic status all summer in rebuffing Kane's departure within an afternoon. ?‍♂️

I'm wondering if those who have been lecturing anybody who dared to show concern at how things were going will perhaps consider in the future that there's a valid reason why people show doubt as we have witnessed this happening on numerous occasions down the years and maybe just maybe look introspectively and learn to not talk down to those who have a different opinion to them.

We went from this morning "paying what was needed for Traore", to "too expensive" within a few hours. As far as I'm aware the fee didn't change.

Pretty much like the chairman.
Thought The Don as DOF would have a budget to work with and therefore no interference required from Daniel. Confusing.

If you accept at the start that this is, and always will be the case, your Spurs related stress levels will decrease exponentially.

Stop stressing so much about things you have no control over whatsoever.
Was about to post similar. Getting this angry over things you have zero control of is unhealthy. I get we all want the best for the club we love, but us fans can't do anything about transfers.

I think on the whole it has been a positive window. We have Toby and Hugo's successors. We have bright young talents in Gil and Sarr (next year). Looks like we're getting a promising attacking fullback in Emerson. We have a new manager that has started well. Skipp has come in and looks like he has been there for years. Tanganga has been solid. We kept Kane. Dier and Sanches can hopefully keep this form up.

We shifted/got off the books Gazzaniga, Foyth, Lamela, Rose, Sissoko and an ageing Toby.

It was never going to be a complete overhaul this summer. Not in Nuno and Fab's first window. It's a start. A positive one.

I'm on the optimistic side of things. More so than I was at the start of the summer.

Romano in his opinion regarded Paratici as like the best DoF in football. We do not deserve this guy. Feel like its clear he can get the players if given the freedom to, but Levy will just never change.

Maybe, maybe not, but doesn't FB leak info to his Italian journo mates? Romano probably isn't the most neutral....

We was told just yesterday Fab works until the last moment on deadline day? What happened to that?
10 hours before it shuts we’re done.

All smells a bit fishy.

The business we have done has been great. That isn’t the issue. We leave gaps in our squad every year that bites us in the arse.

We’ve also let go Bale & Vini remember.

The other frustration is Levy. He flirts at the bar with all the hottest girls and when it’s time to buy them a drink he’s left his wallet at home.

Okay... so it's not been a perfect window. By the beginning of a meltdown on here you'd think we'd have a shocker and got no-one in and let our best player leave.

"buyers market" as well ?

Apart from Sarr we haven't really made any hugely opportunistic signings for cheap fees. We've paid about market value for Romero, Gil and Emerson.

Buyers market is not just the price but also whether the player is available for sale even
If it was usual year, Messi wouldnt have been in market. If Barca are willing to sell their 2nd RB happy to play Roberto as RB option, then it means its a buyers market.

Im still optimistic that Paratici with his style of work has used Traore to get a good deal for Kulusevski, I know totally delusional, but that what this window with 30links a day has done to me

I for one look forward to qualifying for the Conference league again....:(

I think that's the highest we can go.

I understand that there are some opportunities, but I really fear for those who think we've done nothing to improve the squad just because we've not signed 3 people on the last day.

Levy goes from Zero, to hero, to Zero again in a matter of weeks.
Its pantomime season in here.

I don't think we have improved the squad. The signings have just replaced players we have let go. Toby and Bale are big players to replace

that’s not true

I think it’s fair to assume given the growing fan backlash and poor results he had finally realised he was utterly useless on the football side of things (I think his general business skills are vastly overrated but for a different discussion) and it was time to step back - provide a fixed budget and let the professionals get on with it

Whats not true?

According to the Goat and Trix, Levy hasnt given up full control and once again has stepped in. So the assumption that he has finally realised he needed to take a step back has been apparently false. Its the same exact thing as "lessons have been learned" and "levy has realised we need to spend to get back into the top 4." Im not anti Levy at all but it is getting rather tiresome now.

Levy wouldn't know the first thing about how Traore would fit into our team and how he would offer a different dimension to Lucas and Stevie.

Serious question: Do the people within the club really believe that "things will be different this time around"?

In a normal working enviorment it doesnt take long to figure how things will pan out based on the structure and individuals within the organization. Yes, there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to transfers and loads of crooked ****s trying to steal a living, but it's the same crap every year.

Maybe people will tell us that there's been "different circumstances" each time - but the outcome has always been the same: gaping holes in the squad that doesnt get sorted despite early optimism that things will get done.

Is it really as simple as "money" or are we just deluded about our own abilities in the transfers market?
