I hope we build up a big enough lead so both Scarlett and Markanday will be given time on the field.

I'm no Kane hater, but people are right he shouldn't be anywhere near the captaincy.

I wonder if any of the journos will have the balls to ask Nuno about this.
I think it’s consistent with everything we’ve done through this whole saga… we’ve behaved as if there’s nothing to talk about. Never commented. Never criticised. Never complained. And now that it’s done, back to as we were.

Frankly I think the club has been remarkably dignified about an things Kane this summer which is why they’ve come out smelling of roses. To punish Kane by demoting him would be inconsistent with how we’ve done things.

Kane is a shit captain in terms of motivation. He's purely a "lead by example" captain. The example he's set lately probably reduces that a fair bit.
I always thought his team talks in the amazon doc were shit and uninspiring.

If you were expecting a classic and well rounded performance in his first ever game for us, coming off the back of an injury and lack of fitness, then you are rather naïve.
Wasn't expecting a classic from him at all Bullet, just something remotely resembling the best defender in Serie A last year. He was nowhere near last week. But let's just hope that performance was a one off, never to be repeated. Onwards and upwards Cuti!

What's annoying is we are giving players like Winks and Doherty who have let us down in these ties in the past more minutes.

Last year in the europa and last week these guys looked like they were too good for the tournament and got us spanked.

We're playing Pacos in a qualifier for the Conference League, not Arsenal in a NLD - it's not that deep.

If they can't play this match then it's pointless having them in the squad.

Tuned in just in time to see Clive Allen and Michael Browne say Winks has a lot to offer us going forward.

?‍?

Do some of these pundits even watch Football?

The midfield of Lo Celso and Winks worries me.. We better not get overrun there. Keeping my fingers crossed.

He's so good at staying busy but doing nothing. Somehow it's the first part that got people noticing but not the second.

Isn't that the point though - some people think it's pointless having these two in the squad? I don't see a good fit for either of these two players at Spurs. When was the last time as a squad option either of these two players made the difference in a game?
