Of course, I wasn't being literal when I used the phrase 'nasty smell' but that's exactly what I reckon the effect must be of his stinking attitude amongst the other squad members. There must be a good reason why Nuno won't play him and I think I know what it is, especially from Dragon's earlier post.
.
That's my point though, the reports we are getting and the training photos show the complete opposite. Can't be motivated to fight for a place because he wants to leave is not the same as having a stinking attitude that impacts the rest of the squad. It doesn't work like that. The players that cause issues are those who back chat and bad mouth the manager, argue with their team mates etc.

I'm only going by what people say, and Dragon's earlier post really set me off. He said he has issues and the club can't get him to motivate himself. That in itself is a disgraceful and unprofessional attitude to have as a pro footballer at his ridiculous salary. Of course I don't have the exact details as to what is going on behind the scenes, nobody has, but what Dragon said should be enough for anyone to make up their minds about him.

Aouar seems exactly the type of player that we need. Creative but still tenacious and mobile which is the difference between having to play as a traditional 10 or working in a midfield 3.

PEH - Aouar - Dele
PEH - Skipp - Dele
PEH - Skipp - Aouar

Could all work in my opinion depending on opposition.

I would still have the concern of overreliance on PEH though.

Fully agree with you. People are now creating stores about his mental health based on their own life experiences. He's stealing a living and has a poor work ethic in my books.

Oops wrong thread for Tanguy discussion. Let's leave it here.

Dragon can tend to lean towards loading his info with personal opinion though.
Like plenty of his anti-levy rhetoric, sometimes it's worth trying to read through the emotion that he's displaying.

He's a fan and as such, gets emotional about the club, like we all do to varying degrees.

I don't think it's enough, have we heard his side of things?

I'll admit I've only watched highlights of the lad, but he looks a real talent if he continues to develop.

Looks like a strong box to box midfielder with really good technique striking the ball.

The way he was carrying the ball, striking shots and making tackles reminds me a lot of Seedorf/Ballack/Essien.

If he turn out anywhere near as good of any that trio he'll be doing well, but love these types of signings as it seems to be where we have more success.

The Aour ITK I can take him or leave him, seems to be really good technically but has question marks over his mentality. If he's 100% up to adapting to the PL and giving his all then I'm all for it, but we don't need another CM coming in who is mentally weak and crumbles.

Trying to find the exact quote, but Fabrizio Romano has said on twitch that Cristiano Ronaldo’s future depends on Tottenham. Because if City can’t get Kane they’ll go for Ronaldo. What a strange turn of events.

We sent Messi away from Barca and Ronaldo to City. Name me another club that has the clout to make those 2 move?

I've just watched a YouTube clip of our new boy, Sarr and I like very much what I see. I'm sure plenty of you have already watched these clips, but just in case you haven't, here they are.
(EDIT: My missus has just told me she doesn't like his initials..)!

Run!! Get it out of the thread quick!! ?

Not surprised if they rejected loan with option as if we don't take up the option they're stuck with with only a year left on his contract.
Only an obligation will do as it's effectively an outright purchase.
Indeed. The only way that would work is if the loan fee was expected to offset the difference in their valuation between him having 2 and then only 1 year on his contract. So probably something like £15-20m

That is essentially just paying the fee in a slightly different structure and is what we did with GLC I think (but he had more years remaining) although it would give us an out and limit our losses if it was an unmitigated disaster.

But the more you pay up front the worse the player would have to be not to follow through so my guess is that if we do get him we'll settle for an obligation to buy

If we valued him now at £40m and were prepared to pay, say, £15m sunk costs for the 'loan' then it would be a no-brainer to then pick him up permanently for £25m, even after a poor season

Knowing what I know about Pape Sarr, having watched 1.30 mins of the YouTube clip posted, I’m fully in favour of this purchase. Looks skilful and can tackle. Excellent business.

Seriously what has happened! We were flooded with links and info for weeks. Exciting leaks almost every few days.

In the last 2/3 weeks when things should be ramping up its been so quiet.

I really want to believe that we've got loads in the pipeline but I just don't feel it.

All that's happened, is the site has lost the constant diatribe, spouted by that monumental plank pretending to be Italian & 'Fabios" illegitimate lovechild, along with his unhealthy penchant for spinning plates.

****.

I really like the look of Sarr.

Reminds me of a old school top class box to box midfielder, you don't see too many these days as most play with 3 midfielders and they all seem to need to be a specialist at a specific thing.

Almost reminded me of the early 2000's when most teams in the Premier League played 4-4-2 and both centre mids were expected to do a bit of both defending at attacking. Even though one would be slightly better at defending at the other slightly better at attacking, both were competent to a degree at both.

Mixture of Gerrard and Yaya for me. Technically brilliant for sure atleast.

Its about time clubs as a collective start being more prudent, and start to introduce performance related pay. Too many players and agents taking the absolute hand with clubs.

Is this not what our own Mr Levy has kind of always done (before giving guys a pay rise that means other clubs can't afford their salary demands :meh:)

I'm sure I read on here about how the likes of Kane (appeared to be) on small salaries but there were big bonus incentives which hiked his earnings a fair amount?
