Also hilarious that we are switching Lamela for him. The guy literally doesn’t touch the ball with his right foot in the highlights until he scores with it twice. Other than Rabona’s, seemed like all of Lamela’s (4?) goals for us in 7 years came with his right.

I’ll preface this by saying theres time left in the window and I know little about the player. But if we’re working on a relative budget I’m surprised to see a decent chunk going towards an attacking midfielder. Seems like Ings or Lacroix you could do for a similar fee and that would make more of an impact.

again, I know we’ve got time but something that was interesting to me.

Not saying we won't sign defenders because I think we will, but I think we've got to get used to the idea that we are gonna work opportunistically in the market again. If there are top talents available for a price we deem good value we will go for them, even if it means we have to "make do" in certain other positions. Money will suddenly be available for players that fit a certain profile and won't be for others.

Also, I do think we need fresh blood in attack as well to be honest. Kane won't be here forever. Son isn't getting any younger, and neither are Lucas or Lamela who aren't even guaranteed starters. None of them are bad players but it's all getting a tiny bit stale.

This guy looks like a great signing and if we can let go of an un-needed squad player (sorry Erik) at the same time then it's amazing business.

Just need to swap Sanchez for Romero and Winks for Ings and we're looking good ;)

Pires.

Moves like Pires.

Thought exactly the same when I Danny Rose'd him. Despite the Arsenal connection, I find this very exciting. Given how much Bergwijn disappointed, I feel we need an injection of young, exciting creativity. If the former can find his form and/or Sessegnon establishes himself, we'll have a nice rotation of wingers.

I like the idea of us doing player swaps. Whilst rare this would really work in our favour this window as selling won't be easy.

If we can get this one done and also Romero/Sanchez then we have refreshed two areas of the side with seemingly highly rated players and

I know nothing of Gil but from what I've seen here it sounds like it'd be a real coup.

It's the sort of business I was hoping for with a proper DoF in place. Let's hope Fabio gets these done.

Can imagine Spurs blokes in their 50s yelling, "fuck sake Nuno, get Bryan on".

Completely see this happening.
