Still showed for the ball and put some effort into it, it would have been easier to hide.

Yep. It looked like his head had completely gone first half, but he somehow managed to regain some composure in the second.

That own goal though! Oh Regui.... :X3:

Vastly over rated and that's just not off the back of tonight's abortion ,I've always felt he was particularly weak defensively and moderately successful attacking wise, just because he played a bit part at Madrid everyone is spunking over him, why ???

Because he can run fast.

I think that's unfair, he was one of Sevilla's best players when they won Europa. Is it any coincidence he looks the nuts as soon as he comes then regresses massively under Mourinho? A new manager is needed before judging him for me

Luuk DeJong was one of Seville's best players in that run. Would you want him at Spurs in the first 11?

It was more to do with the season he had with Seville on loan - played a huge part in their EL win and season. Defensively he is lacking for sure. Can that be improved at this point in his career? I don't know. He definitely has the ability going forwards and hopefully with Sess coming back a better player next season, then that might hopefully bring out a better Reggie.

Hate to break this to people that are counting on Sessegnon coming in and make the difference, it's not going to happen.

You can't have two left backs in the squad with neither having the ability to defend. Plus he isn't very good.

Reminded me of Lewis Holtby out there. Runs around so it makes it look like he's doing something but he's just chasing shadows and every time he got the ball he turned it over. What an awful performance.

Still not concerned, he’s a young full back. He needs a proper manager, as do a lot of our players, to bring the best out of him. I tho his jumpy, nervous, irrational performance sum up the mentally of the whole team pretty well.

Why can't anyone see that every players looks shite at the moment not just the ones you take a personal dislike to.

Exactly this.

Until we’ve truly flushed the negativity and toxicity out of the club, there’s no way we’ll see the best of any of our players.

I see people are writing him off already.

Just a reminder that under AVB and Sherwood, Walker, Rose and Vertonghen were absolute disasters at times and a lot fans wanted them out. We then hired a competent head coach/manager and IMO, all 3 were the best in the league at their peak.

The fact that Reggie was awesome when he first arrives gives me hope that he can do the same with the right coach.

Had a mare today but he's one we should persevere with.

He's young and he has talent.

There are players who have been here for far too long who let us down time and again, that is where the fans anger should be directed.

Needs to be taught how to defend.

Really, really, really poor today. Just awful. But I still think he’ll be a top, top, top LB one day with proper coaching. Definitely should persevere with him.

When he first came in he looked the business now he looks Spursy.

He looks like a young player...in his first season in a foreign league...at a club that's had a chaotic season...that's had fear instilled in him rather than proper coaching by our former manager.

I am confident that he will be fine in the long term.
