Pleased he's gone, very surprised at the timing though. But Levy better know that this ain't just about the manager. If he think's a new manager will get a top 4 winning tune out of this squad, he's well off. And he'll be looking for another one in twelve months.
Top-4?

That is a relic of the past...

Fucking hell. Had my first "busy" weekend in about a year, haven't even managed to process the ESL bollocks from yesterday and now this happens.

Personally think the timing is poor and it should have been after the final win or lose, but at least he's gone.

Thanks for the 2 home wins over Arsenal Jose. I'm struggling to think of any other highlights of your time here...

Kidnapped by shady Russian gangsters on the morning of the match, before being sprung by a gang of under-16 youth team players with an hour to spare. He races to the match in the back of Harry and Sandra's Range Rover (Harry is commentating on the match for Sky/BT/whoever) after Redknapp spots him from outside a pie and mash shop where he's having his lunch.

Kane changes into his kit on the way (Covid regs) and rushes out of the tunnel as the teams line up, only to find Bale is wearing the armband and playing up top on his own. Kane runs onto the pitch, headbutts Bale, takes the armband and scores a hat-trick before half time.

Kane is replaced on 85 mins at 3-0 up, and is carried off the pitch shoulder high by Hojbjerg and Rodon.

Man City go on to win the Final 5-3.
OK, first off I have to say that that's a great story and I enjoyed its plausibility very much - it was real to me and spoke to me as a reader.

But, I have to draw you up on one point and it's a minor one, I admit. Far be it from me to criticise you as an author or your 'process' as I believe you creative types refer to it as, but can I ask:

If Kane's been kidnapped by Russian gangsters, why have they let him out to go and eat pie and mash allowing Harry and Sandra to recapture him?

I know, I know, I'm being nitpicky. I'm just a reader, you're the author. There's no doubt a meaning behind it and I can't see it. Apologies.

Wow. Totally shocked with the move.

Disappointed it has to come to this that he couldn't bring to us a silverware. A constant of us not winning is just too much that he got his first in his career of not winning something.

I bet some players will be clapping and celebrating in their social media soon. Until we get the stale players sold and deadwood cleared, I wouldn't be so happy at all. A third of the problem gone, another third of the issues which are the decaying players have to be solved. I'm ashamed they have the ability to get two great coaches fired in their times here.

Not that it matters anyway, but the cup final really is a free hit regardless. We do have a game on Wednesday, though. Wonder if Mason will be in charge for that, or will we have someone in to use as that prep?

Hi Danny, it's Ryan. Just wondering if you're ready for Sunday...

I think we will find that we will win most of our games now and that defenders will remember how to defend.

We better not announce Sarri or Allegri either of those + ESL announcement will be all too much.

ITK had said Rodgers and Nagglesmann were our first choices but no way Leicester after reaching FA cup final would have Rodgers being announced if that was agreed for summer and JN looks likely to go to Bayern, i don't have a good feeling about who this next appointment will be tbh but hope i'm wrong.

Clearly he should’ve been sacked months ago, probably in January. The timing isn’t ideal at all, but no he shouldn’t have been given the final. That’s an insane suggestion considering we’re hearing his position as manger is now untenable.

Timing is odd. Personally thought it would either be Monday if CC final lost, when 4th mathematically impossible or end of season.

But there is an added bonus. Should we win Sunday, we won't have to listen to Mourinho boasting how he was the man to end our trophyless run (although I'm sure he will still try to take credit)!

I never thought his appointment would work but wanted to be wrong. Sadly, I wasn't.
