Still can't figure what formation it will be. I wouldn't mind a 3412. It's a system Barca are using very effectively.

Tanganga----Sanchez----Rodon
Moura----Ndombele----Hojbjerg----Reguilon
Lo Celso
Vinicius----Kane

Although both Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier miss out through illness today, I understand both are still expected to head off on international duty, which of course rules out what some might expect when they hear the word 'illness' in today's world.
Of course, in the context of Spurs - I assumed "illness" was simply cover for "dropped". But I suppose Ali means they don't have the COVID.

We could criticise this selection but let’s just get behind the team and pray for a win. Champions league is unlikely but still possible. Stranger things have happened.

This is a classic example of where Mourinho can't win.

He makes sweeping changes and he's desperate, he doesn't and he's a coward.

Let's just hope we have some sort of response. COYS!!!

I don't think any of us are hoping we lose. We all want to win. There are just a lot of questions surrounding the motive behind the line up.

I’m not getting too excited by the lineup. It’ll be nice if we win and give the youngsters some valuable experience but this just feels like Mourinho’s endgame to me. At least he’s flipped the bird at some of the tossers and giving youth a runout

Exactly.

I can understand people been glad/excited about the changes.

Personally speaking, I can't help but feel cautious because a change of personnel does not necessarily mean there'll be a change from the same boring, anti-football that we've become far too accustomed to.

Time reveals all answers.

I like the inclusion of Vinicius - I thought he played with a lot of energy on Thursday. Hopefully it translates into a goal or 2 today.

Like Mourinho mixing it up a bit and firing some shots, but not been convinced by Vini if I am honest.

Are we potentially playing a diamond.?

On paper I like the defence line up...

I know Moura has been good of late and we need some pace but I'd like to have seen Dele Alli given a start in the same team with Lo Celso Ndombele and Hojbjerg and possibly Bale for Vinny.

In fairness the line up is about right...up to the players now.

If he was looking to make a statement then covering for them by calling it an illness would undermine it.
