Did Sissoko actually do anything when he came on?

I think he did some short passes.

Having said that, that’s probably a better output than some of our players today.
Thought he gave us security on the right and changed the game with a man less?

our team is better than Arsenals - no doubt.

So send them out to play football on the front foot.

Don’t put Sissoko on for an attacker.

Dont wait until we go down to let the shackles off.

Players have to take responsibility but Mourinho has sucked the belief out of them by aiming not to lose.
He took Bale off because he had offered nothing all game and brought Sissoko on because we kept losing the ball in our defensive third and Arsenal kept creating danger when we did. And with the fact that Sissoko can cover the right flank in defence, it allowed Mourinho to push Doherty further up that flank to try and create something.

A player of Sissoko's type was the right call - it's just that he's Sissoko. But there was no-one else.

After seeing Jose manage us, I've come to realise that he's a coward. He never takes responsibility for a loss. Always blames the players or officials, even to the extent of crushing his players' confidence. And his preferred football is to keep 11 men behind the ball and hope to win on the counter. After winning five on the trot by finally playing attacking football he reverts to form against tougher opposition and instructs the team to defend until it's too late. We've seen it too many times this season already. It's joyless and cowardly.

Hard to disagree.

“Desperately defending him!!!”

There is no desperately defending him.

It’s like this:

- Today’s performance was shit - see tactics were poor
- Tactics were poor - the crux of the matter
- Players were poor - see tactics were poor
- On balance, this shouldn’t lead to the manager being sacked - conclusion? Manager at fault. Had said Tactics been deployed before for any margin of success and watchable football? Yes - conclusion? Up to Danny boy, but I know what I'd be doing personally.

This isn’t difficult for anyone to wrap their head around, unless they actively choose not to. Which seems to be the case with you. And frankly, that’s your problem.
I think we have seen this far too often now from Jose to know that he'll always revert to type - he just can't stay away from it. Had we gone out there today, closed down the space better, had a better def line and actually utilised our attacking strength, then we'd had won today. We gave them the result, or should I say Jose did?

Dominated once again by an average side below us in the table.

Literally any PL side with a semi competent possession and pressing structure dominates us and makes us look a disjointed mess. Sometimes our talent in attack bails us out like Kane's free kick off the post almost did.

It's on Mourinho. If you can't see it now you never will.

Yes Doherty is awful but Jose chose him over Serge and Japh so that's on him too.

Just hope Son only has a minor strain.

Do you ever watch games with Oliver, so many of his big calls go against us, he’s as bent as they come, if he has the opportunity to screw us he does, so obvious he should be a Geico commercial

You completely avoided my question.

The issue we now have is reverting back to attacking football.

When we opt for a defensive strategy we always have a hangover in the next game.

I mean I get it tomorrow morning emotions have calmed and you think ok we go again but no as we're losing at the deathstar your main priority seemed to be defending the manager responsible for those shit tactics.

It's been 18 months or so of divisive rubbish and as I said this will carry on, the camps are settled and they will be at it until he goes. Defending him during that to me is like having a pop at him when we're 4 nil up. I didnt think fuck all had changed , I didn't think we look well coached but nobody wanted to hear me be negative when we're winning just the same as its a but off you and others jumping to his defence when he precides over that load of old shit at the Emirates.

One poster even moaned that apparently jose has to win every game. We just lost to fucking arsenal not some random northern team. In fact we were losing to arsenal at the time which makes the statement even worse.
