Because I understand the context of a performance. It’s called being an adult.
The context of that performance was we made the same mistakes we’ve made numerous times this season but this time we got away with it. I’m happy with the result but the process was dreadful and shows Mourinho hadn’t learnt a thing

I was pretty pleased at half time, but that second half was just terrible.

Ah well, at least we're playing shit and winning instead of playing shit and losing. That got to count for something.

Only caught the 2nd half and we were pretty much non existent in terms of attacking threat. Seemed to be happy for Fulham to have the ball and they bossed it albeit they didn't create that many clear cut chances imo. Certainly wasn't a good watch but a win is a win I suppose but don't like us sitting back and offering so little going forward when we are just the one goal up.

But you’ve conveniently ignored the first half which was pretty much the opposite. I’m guessing you’re no Mourinho fan

The first half was good enough, said it in another post. But that was often fine in the games we lost too. it was a fine first half not a great first half (like last game). Stop with that Mourinho fan or not, I am a bloody Tottenham fan and judge the game not only by the result. it would be a big cry fest here if we would have conceeded.
The last few games werent that sloppy. Hope bringing back Regui into the side will give us better balance on Sunday.

off to get the gossip.... my next door neighbour had an affair and now the guy is full blown stalking her (police involved, he's been charged but still stalking her). She's been back with her husband since Christmas and she's just told him the other guy is not just stalking her but also her him... it hasn't gone down well lol
Well that was more entertaining than the 2nd half, can we have a thread plz?

Amazed at how we didn't impose ourselves in the 2nd half. I don't feel we deliberately sat back, just couldn't gain possession. Very fortunate to get the win.

I was impressed by Aina, he looked very good

And the full-backs overlapped occasionally in the first half. We were even treated to Doherty's awful cross at one point.

Yes 100% it’s a good win and we dug in well away from home but it’s old patterns mate where we’ve gone 1-0 up then dropped back created sweet FA and gone on to draw or lose, we got away with that in the end.
Nope. Some games are hard. Fulham don’t lose very often. And do not concede many. Our front four tired massively in the 2nd half. A half in which Fulham were lucky they were only down by 1 goal.

Jose took a gamble. He wanted to win the game in the first half, cos he knew these same players would run out of steam in the 2nd. Hence why they pressed so high up the field.

Bale and Dele were always gonna fall off after 55 mins. Sadly, Kane, Son and Tanguy also dropped their energy levels. This gave Fulham more control over our midfield. Something we’ve seen them do to many top teams this season.

At the end of the day, they didn’t create many good chances and their goal was rightfully overruled by the letter of the law.

Not every win is gonna be a schlacking. Take some joy out of seeing us win the type of game we have dropped points in all season. The lads should be proud of how they played. Its a huge confidence booster.

Some of you have so much arrogance to think the opposition don't dictate how we play. Fulham played really well second half

How is the way we played in the 2nd half down to mourinho? Fulham pushed us back in the 2nd half but even after the subs Ndombele was playing high up the pitch it not like we started parking the bus
