RM will want to sell him in the summer.
If Bale continues this form, there could be interest in Italy - maybe even Man U.
Sure, he could turn all those offers down, but they all could pay double the salary we could afford.
And Bale runs the risk of ZZ sitting him on the bench for another year.
Thought we had an option for a second year.

Welcome home finally. Only took 5 months!

It would be great if he could play every game from here on in and help us push for top 4 etc but that is highly unlikely

I'd imagine his fitness will be closely managed and the League Cup Final and Europa League will be prioritised

Still great in the final third obviously but the thing that was very good yesterday was his use of the ball deep with his back to goal, the little balls round the corner or drop of a shoulder to get us out. makes a massive difference when you get a good amount of players in the team who can handle the ball like that under pressure.

Good observation. He also worked harder tracking back then in games past. There was one passage of play where he chased hard from right center all the way to the left from roughly the beginning of the final third back into our half. The ball eventually got switched back to a rather large hole on the right but no damage was done. My reaction was it showed a desire/trust that wasn't there one month ago but he seems to be embracing this style of play.

Probably depends how things go. We should in theory be able to get past Zagreb without him starting, and then we'll have to see what the table looks like.

A few weeks ago I was in the send him back camp. I've never been happier to be wrong. He was magnificent yesterday. He also showed he is gaining confidence in his body again. Turned on the afterburners once or twice and shows he's still got that searing pace, he's just more selective now about when to use it.

Yesterday could well be a turning point in our season, and a big part of that is Bale coming good.

When was the last time someone other than Kane or Son scored 2 goals in a league match for us? Probably Lucas but it has been a while I'm sure.
My spreadsheet (yes I have a spreadsheet and I know that is very sad!) says Dele against Bournemouth in November 2019?

Occurs to me that he also turned assister to the assister with what was actually a very good switch of play from the right to Reggy on the left, something he did a few times, so he had a key involvement in all 4 goals.

somebody made a compilation Bale's Burnley performance. What a reel. Every frickin touch was positive, meaningful.

Clearly his goals and assists are the most important in that clip, but my favourite touch he had was the one to Aurier at 2:36.

At face value, it looks a piss-easy 10-inch touch into the path of Serge, but I bet there's a lot of players who wouldn't have the finesse to caress the ball that way.

I really hope Bales form continues but more importantly his experience of winning things comes into play in the EL and carling cup final

We don’t just need his playing skills - we need his leadership in a team that doesn’t have a lot of experience getting over the line
