Let's stick the Dele stuff in his thread now, so this will be my last post in here about it. Of course he was good for us, but José did similar with Tanguy end of last season and look what happened. That technique doesn't work with everyone. To me both José and Dele are at fault. José needed to try a different approach, and Dele shouldn't go on his socials to have a moan.

But it is clear that any buying club will be looking at the position and seeing that he is not in the managers plans and that reduces the players value when they are not even making the squad. The only alternative is Levy sticks to his valuation of the player and then you will end up with a transfer request. Either way it reduces the value of the asset, particularly in this market and as a consequence the amount that could be reinvested. This is all aside from the fact that the team could do with more goals in it, which an inform Dele could bring, even from the bench.

To be fair just because it doesn't work in one game it doesn't mean it wont in another. Whether the players are right for it though is another matter. I wouldn't be against going to wing-backs with everyone available.
