have you even considered that loans might be a good option for 3 reasons

1, Kane and Sissoko should be ok by the start of next season
2, not many top talents available in January
3, we already have a squad of 26 players (can only use 25)
Why are you talking about January only? Wasn't 1 out of our whopping 2 senior signings in the summer loan also?

No one actually thought the Google rumours were genuine surely? Never in a million years is it their type of thing. Sponsorship, maybe...

Desperation breeds hope I guess ?

that was because we couldn't agree on a fee, and Levy didn't want to spend the amount they wanted in 1 hit especially if he failed to settle or hit it off.

to be honest with players now running down contracts or failing to settle, with prices being asked it might be something that becomes popular for the rest of time with all clubs doing it.

your postings are as if we have been in the stadium these last 10 seasons and making record profits every season in that time. we haven't had 1 full season yet, and even though Levy has arranged realistic payments to pay the stadium off, it's still a debt hanging over us when we want to make signings, which at the moment are not happening because we have a full squad quota

This is ridiculous. People getting excited because they think a very rich company will treat our club like a plaything. None of it makes sense. They have no reason to buy a relatively unprofitable club when they have never dabbled in sport before.

And it’s based on the flimsiest of rumours.

A relatively unprofitable club? Remind me again which team broke the world record profit barrier last year and are on course to potential do it again this time around?

The way to make a small fortune
by investing in a football club

is to start with a large fortune

It's as easy as ABC.

You only make money from football
by not spending any.

Spurs are literally the perfect example of how to make money through investing in a football club.

Exactly, just look at our value when Enic took over, compared to what it is now.
They've invested well, built us up and are now set to reap the rewards, be that by selling us or just generating huge profit from the multi use stadium.

Something interesting I read yesterday. The Sainsbury’s by the ground is owned by a company based in the Bahamas and now has nothing to do with THFC. I was under the impression it was something that would generate income for the club. Nope, Joe Lewis gets the income.

How many other parts of the development is the football club going to see income from? None is my guess. Something to ponder.

Could start to explain why we seem to have little money to spend in the transfer window.. it’s either going Into paying off the training ground stadium etc or going into joe Lewis back pocket

Just more money for the old man to spend on art and yachts.

There must be an absurdly rich sheikh in need of a play thing somewhere...

Could well have been bought from the club for above value, as is some of the weird ways the financial stuff is done.

Isn't it owned by Sainsburys?

Probably, and there would be no point for him to waste money on this club when there are other clubs other there that would cost a lot less.

But he will get the challenge of making the club successful which has eluded the current owners.
