I'm not questioning his capability. I agree he's a fantastic footballer. Arguably one of the best. But you can just tell he's got zero charisma or charm. You can also tell it irks him that people generally like Messi more than him. If he was a true professional, he wouldn't give a toss what people thought, but he does. He's an egomaniac and wants (almost demands) people to like him. And that makes him a prick in my book.

Also, I think Bale is on a similar level. Ronaldo literally couldn't cope with the fact that Bale's transfer fee was higher than his. Couldn't cope with bale scoring the CL overhead goal against Liverpool. Lashed out at him in training when bale nutmegged him. Gave RM an ultimatum (him or Bale). I could list a heap more examples of Ronaldo being a twat. My point is, the guy simply doesn't have the personality to be universally liked and that will ultimately have an impact, not on his ability, but overall how he's viewed by peers and fans.

That lack of charisma will be the difference when judged against others in years to come.

Just onions.

No evidence for any of this, just hearsay, exactly the same as everybody repeating the Bale golf nonsense.

So Barnett confirms Bale and his family were ready to go to China.

Totally bizarre decision. What is wrong with the guy? Take a drop in salary and go to a club in Europe and have another few great years playing at the top level.

When Bale signed that Madrid contract he must have known that it was incredibly unlikely that he'd see out the full term at Madrid, being about 33 when it expires. He also must have known he was at the pinnacle of his earnings. Obviously since then China has come along but I can't believe any elite player would seriously consider going there at their peak. The thing is, he's stuck now as this shows any prospective european club, that he is now on the beach and only in it for the money. Hardly inspiring to managers and chairmen is it....

What a load of bollocks!
Why don’t you give half your salary away for nothing...

I’d be interested to see your reaction if you went to work for them to tell you, even though you are contracted for another three years they want you gone, McDonald’s want to employ you for a quarter of the money you’re on now - and everyone thinks you’re a tight **** for not going...

That's a terrible analogy, it's not relevent in the slightest.

Bale's situation is the difference between having 5 super cars or 7 super cars.

Your comparative situation is the difference between being able to afford a property, car, and living relatively comfortably, and barely being able to get by.

absolutely, but once you have 5, I imagine you'd want 7.

SSN chat so much shite, saying Madrid won't sell him to a CL club... He'll be staying then :banghead:

I agree that SSN talk shit but if we indulge a little bit, it would mean that Madrid are basically saying they want him to go to United imo.

SSN are a bunch of BS spouting arses, Real dont want to pay him 90M over next 3 years, as that what he costs. Especially of their dumb prick of a bald headed screw loose manager doesnt want him , means he will not pick him, hence player becomes devalued increasing, harder to fudge the accountacy side on him, and they are literally hemorrhaging cash 600k a week for nothing in return. Real would get rid of bale in a heart beat to another CL clubs if offer is financially sound.

Poch will 100% leave for Madrid if Levy refuses to deliver again and Zidane is sacked/walks. Anyone thinking otherwise is deluded. If Levy doesnt deliver now, he never will.

If you keep telling your girlfriend you're not good enough for her, she'll eventually believe it as well. Change your mentality.

Even if he does leave, Spurs will be one of the most attractive opportunities in the world. It's not like the club will be turning to Pulis or Bruce. Elite coaching talent will covet the job.

7 supercars.
Well 4 of those could be vintage. 1 is awaiting parts, 1 overheats in traffic, 1 is not road legal and 1 is so rare it could not be taken out in public.
So he is down to 3.
The wife is out in one as she likes the sound system.
Now he has only 2, and one of those is open top and the forecast is rain.

1 bleeding supercar and that is due for a service next week and he'll end up having to drive to the golf course in the au-pair's runabout Audi.

Now if only he had £1m p/w....

I still have a feeling we will make a last minute attempt to loan him on deadline day. Cant see how it could work for us on a financial level however. Surely he wont be at Madrid next season . Anyone saying he wouldn't add quality to our squad is mad.

Chinese transfer window has closed, must say I'm absolutely delighted, I got some stick for it but honestly I love Bale as a footballer so much the idea of him going to China wasn't what I wanted to see, I'd rather we have to compete with him than see him in his prime in a league beneath him.

he will go on a year loan to a EPL club in the next 8 days simply because it makes sense for RM, ZZ, FP and GB.

Who knows maybe Dybala going to United kills Madrid chances of dealing Bale for Pogba and leaves us as one of 2 options with the alternative being he stays. Maybe wishful thinking from myself though.
