Thing is, I think we must be the only top 6 team with only 1 recognised striker. Yes we have the exciting prospect of Parrot breaking through the ranks, and he certainly looks like one for the future, but other than that we rely on midfielders to get our goals if Kane is out... And lets face it, you can almost guarantee he'll get an injury every season and be out for 6-12 combined weeks over the full season.

I personally don't think we'll get Dybala. The £44m bid (If true) can mean one of two things... We are interested and Levy is going in low with the view to getting him sub £70m, or it was a kick up Real Bettis' backside to get the Lo Celso deal wrapped up
Son can play up front aswell as most recognised strikers. I think he is good enough up top to be considered a striker

We should focus on getting Lo Celso and sess in! This just isn’t going to happen and it’s diverting the attention away from us not yet bringing the other two in and only making 1 signing so far this summer .... hmmmm to come think of it I just realised why the club have leaked it ! Stinks of our bid for aguero all them years ago

I’m guessing we have all on this forum seen Dybala play so I’m not sure why anyone would have doubts about him and his effectiveness? We want players that would immediately improve the first team squad and this guy will do that, giving innumerable options to Pochettino in gameplay.

Fair enough. I think I’m fixating on the finer margins of things- the big factor for me is how good does Eriksen become with the added dynamism and guile that Ndombele and Lo Celso bring to the team. He’d potentially wreck teams with the space he’d get from the movement around him
I’m with you on this one. Keeping CE and getting in the signings of Lo Celso and Sess is what I personally want.

I think CE would become a better player with the space provided as you say. Hes not had that since Dembele. But he will need to sign a contract.

When we get all of this done, and baldy is feeling flush and there is a deal to be had for Dybala then bring it on.

But not to the detriment of our other potential signings

I don't think this will happen for two reasons. First of all, this smells a bit too much of earlier superstar sagas, where we were used to drum up interest from other clubs. Secondly, the early transfer deadline might bite us, as Dybala might want to wait for one of the large continental clubs to make an offer, and they've got plenty of time left. This might hinge on the neymar deal as well, if PSG is interested.

Based on that I can understand if the club is a bit cautious about the possibility of doing a deal.

After watching ndombele play last two games I think we can sacrifice Eriksen for dybala. We are going to lose Eriksen next year if he doesn’t sign a new deal so I think we should straight swap him now especially if no genuine buyers.

Guess you missed the game vs United. Otherwise I have no idea what your on about. Ndombele will need time to jell and Eriksen was by far our best player when coming on.

LoCelso is a must sign and ITK suggests this is well down the line with a medical penciled in.

It seems popular opinion is for Eriksen to sign on again, which would be great in isolation and great if he does, but for me, if getting Dybala hinged on moving a player on, I’d be ok for Eriksen to be sold. Again LoCelso signing is a must here.

I just think our desired style of play would suit Dybala better. More recently we have seen that narrow diamond in midfield work less effectively. But Dybala in a front three looks much more threatening.
I’d have NDombele, LoCelso and Winks in midfield and a front three of Son, Kane and Dybala. Scary good.

Injuries, form will happen of course but with Dybala and LoCeso, Eriksen is a sub for me. And if he’s ummmming and ahhhring about a new contract, sell him now if that money gets us Dybala.

I know 99% of this stuff is bollocks, but it’s so addictive.

At this stage of every summer window, we are linked to a player like this. One who seems is ready to commit, but its never seems to get past first base.
I'll believe it once its on the official website.
