Barring Grealish Villa looked massively short on premiership quality. Going to need a big summer in the transfer market to have realistic chance of staying up id imagine.

They won't stay up even with some signings. Look at Fulham

Well, the wife is happy. Sets up the Double in this house for the weekend. Couldn’t happen could it?

Their owners apparently have a lot of money. If they get the signings right, they'll do ok. Would have preferred them to stay down a little longer tbh.

Fulham spent 100 million. Look how that turned out. Their defence isn't good enough for starters.
Mings can't get a game at Bournemouth.
Tuanzebe is on loan from the circus of United.
Taylor is 30 and never looked up to it with Swansea

Fulhams signings were shocking though, totally scatter gun, with no thought. That's why I say if they get their signings right, they'll be ok. But they certainly have the money to get decent players in.

But they'll have to potentially sign players that other more seasoned, established PL teams will also be attempting to sign.

Having the money is one thing, but convincing someone to sign when, in all reality, they'll be among the favourites to go down at the end of the season, is a completely different thing altogether.

True. But Villa are a bigger club than half the PL clubs already there imo. They now have more than enough cash to compete with the established clubs, if they want to spend it. And I think Villa may be a bigger draw for players, than quite a few of those clubs.

I love that they even played a friendly in the PP kit. That was great dedication to a prank where no one gets hurt/offended.
