It's always been my understanding ceballos was more dependant on Eriksen not GLC.
Yes but surely that would only be in a part exchange situation
If thats the case there is no Zaniola but the Ceballos deal may have sailed

Who cares if JCRD is buying him?
I would buy Fekir - especially at 30m.
Id still want him as fit as a fiddle... what am I going to do with an unfit fekir.
Thought he failed a medical at liverpool?Something not right Liverpool were all over him last season why not know at much lower price??

He means in terms of squad numbers. We want to sign Lo Celso no matter what, and if Eriksen goes the intention was to also get in Ceballos. It now looks like we’ve stepped away from the latter due to a lack of option to buy.Yes but surely that would only be in a part exchange situation

I would say that's probably around the limit but not sure if it will workI'm fairly confident most of this is papers trying to keep the story in the press and he'll come in for around 55mil or so shortly after his holiday is over.
Betis aren't budging on there asking price, i suspect this will drag on till the final week of the window
We may well see Lo Celso in and Eriksen out but I genuinely don't believe one is dependent upon the other.I'm fairly confident most of this is papers trying to keep the story in the press and he'll come in for around 55mil or so shortly after his holiday is over.
I’m also not confident that this won’t just be a Lo Celso in, Eriksen our scenario. Would love to be proven wrong.
Ok so there reason we don’t just pay the release fee, it needs to be paid in full, in cash.Tbh though if we for some reason can't negotiate a deal, might aswell pay the release clause? Because if the negotiations are in the 60-70 region no harm paying an extra 10... I'm sure we've got it and wouldn't hurt the club financial wise
Mate it’s business, not football.Mate this is football and you overpay sometimes for the betterment of the club look at Liverpool they overpaid on a couple of players they really wanted and look where they are.
The ITKs said from the outset we were going for Ndombele and Lo Celso and any other purchases after that would be dependent on Eriksen and others leaving, why make it complicated?Luka I have no info maybe Trix has in our intentions, but if budget is an issue then a loss of Eriksens value would hurt a big buy like Lo Celso.
I mean we went for Ndombele. He was a sure must have because the negotiating from our side wasn't that long. In Lo Celsos case is he a total must have? Because it seems the price I last heard we are far apart. The only reason for that must be because Levy won't pay a NDombele type price if he doesn't sell Eriksen.
Time will tell though

GLC came up early as Poch’s target. If that’s the case, I’m sure in Poch’s mind, he is a must have. We are clearly changing up our style of play and formation. GLC has clearly been identified as a big part of that irrelevant of Eriksen staying or going. Surely this is just a case of the lad needs at least a weeks break after a long season and major tournament. He needs some time out rather than being chased down for media interviews. I could be wrong, but think we’re all being way too impatient.Luka I have no info maybe Trix has in our intentions, but if budget is an issue then a loss of Eriksens value would hurt a big buy like Lo Celso.

If it's business, wouldn't you want to overspend on a few players that you know that will most likely bring us success and lots of money in the future, weighing out the prices we paid in the first place? I would think of that being a smart business decision.Ok so there reason we don’t just pay the release fee, it needs to be paid in full, in cash.
We would need to take out a loan to repay the deal, which we will have to pay interest on and we’d be unnecessarily exposed to currency risk. It is not rocket science why we negotiate with the selling club not, repayments are without interest and structured in a way that is the most painless for the club.
Finally, there are very few clubs that pay the release fee even if they can. There are several reasons behind this, the main reason is that it is incredibly bad from a business standpoint to keep that much money liquid.
