Fabian Delph announced to Everton
Good signing for that price in this market. Not a bad player at all.

Think about this. When Levy was setting Toby's buyout clause at 25 million with a year left on his contract, he thought he would be pricing him out of a move. Fast forward 4 years and Dunk goes for 45.
Everton get delph for just 9m. How they get him for so cheap?
plus not a rival to city in any way shape or formImo his age and a fringe player going into one of his last year of his contract

They've made two very good signings in Gomes and Delph.Fabian Delph announced to Everton

Incessant booing aside, I find it very hard to dislike Everton. I'd much rather it be them that breaks the top 6 monopoly than Leicester, or even worse West Ham.
I disagree. He was bought for 12, and the clause is twice that with only a year left. It was only the following year that the market exploded with the new tv deal. No one really saw it coming.I wouldn't be so sure that Levy insisted on putting that release clause in...1) he generally doesn't do release clauses and 2) That would be severely undervaluing him at the time, Levy knows the market, no way he'd think that £25m would have been pricing him out of a move when player prices showed a clear trend of increasing.

Either way, Levy generally doesn't put clauses in and if he did he would have set it much higher, that clause would have been insisted by Toby and his agent, It's rare that Levy takes a cut price or market value deal on a player he's trying to sell...
It wasn't market value for a 30 year old defender 4 years ago.
Chelsea sold an error prone David Luiz to PSG for double the price a year before.
Talented player, but inconsistent from what I've seen of him. There's a reason the top clubs aren't in for him at that price.
If we're looking to sign a player of his style, I'd want them to be able to perform at the highest level on a regular basis. Signing a 26 year old off the back of 1 good season in the Eredivisie is too much of a gamble for where we want to be.
Sky Sports were saying the Arse are interested in Ziyech who has a 26m buyout clause. I'd be majorly pissed off if they got him and especially at that price.
I’m still surprised we aren’t keen. He must be asking silly wages.
