Would be foolish not to use this opportunity to upgrade on a position we've been weak in for a couple of seasons now

Good servant and clearly a nice guy, just not quite good enough for where we are now. Wish him luck.

Slightly concerned at the lack of links to replacements though as the Foyth / KWP / Aurier combo is a little untested.

Seems the info has leaked this end because he is off the Singapore tour and is flying to Madrid today. Atleti obviously a lot more private in their dealings than their noisy neighbours!

Great business if true from a financial point of view.
Wish him all the best. - and apart from a few mistakes last season, I think he has had a great spell with us, racked up lots off assists and was exciting to watch.

I’m not convinced by Aurrier, hoping Poch can turn his career around with us like he managed with MS - I wasn’t convinced by him either not so long ago.

Have to agree with Gaffney about the HG, I know everybody is sick of the conversation but it is cause for concern considering the players we are linked to.

SSN just reporting on it saying talks are progressing well and there is increasing confidence on both sides a deal could be done by weekend... they then finished the report by saying that the only thing that could hold up the deal is Trippers lack of Spanish could be a problem as Simmone is very concerned by this..

Norwich have signed Max Byram from West Ham today, could mean a move for Aarons?
Although if the price isn’t right, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t sign a replacement and go Aurier, KWP, Foyth.

I hope this works out well for all concerned parties.
A small part of me feels sorry for him to leave after a poor, injury ravaged season. I'm sure he would have liked to have proved to the fans that last season was an anomaly.

Seems a bit weird since they have a bunch of eastern europeans in the squad. I know the English are shit at languages, but Spanish is a lot more similar to English than to Slovenian or Serbian.

Thank fuck Trippier is a veritable genius who will pick it up in no time.

Everyone on the planet knows that any Brit spending time in Spain only really needs to know one phrase to get by: una cerveza por favor
