Priceless if this happens. He is a very good prospect by the way. Still at 18 he may have a way to go before he is PL ready.

None of this will mean anything if he still wants the goons.

They do have a particularly strong appeal to French players

You forget their current club captain who is French has gone on strike for them. Surely that speaks volumes to a young french footballer that they might not be the best club to go to currently.

I actually still think he'll sign for Arsenal but I've never been invested in this transfer so watching the tears of their fans, even if its for a few hours, is still magical.

I imagine if legit we'd have a serious chance of getting him, but I do agree with the sentiment. To add to that it sounds like we'd have made them up their offer even if they do get him.

Not on the level of henry, petit, vieira etc
All of whom had left Arsenal by the time Saliba turned 7.

Since 2006 Arsenal and Spurs have finished at most 2 positions apart every season bar two where we finished lower down (08 and 09) and two where they finished lower down (17 and 18), with us having finished above them for three consecutive seasons.

They have won 3 cups to our 1 cup.

To anybody born this millennium, particularly outside the UK, the sides have been neck and neck for their entire conscious life, with us having now shot ahead, so I’d say that regardless of nationality, we have the bigger pull.

Another eye catching performance, leGin

Guardian saying Arsenal still confident he will keep his word and sign for them....

But surely we wouldn’t go in for this at such a late stage unless the agent and player had indicated they’d prefer us...

I kinda think so as well.

Saliba may also prefer Arse because of higher chances of playing time.

Arsenal aren't going to come out and say they are shitting it and ready to jump out of a window are they?

i’m sure we wouldn’t embarrass ourselves by bidding, and then being turned down by the player.
