If he only wants a loan, we should forget and move on.

I wouldn't be happy for Spurs just to be used as an audition for Ceballos to prove he is worthy of getting into Madrid's first 11.

A loan with an option to buy would be worth it for us. Let Arsenal be the desperate ones who are basically developing a Madrid youngster for a season.

100%

This is what frustrates me more than anything, if this shit is now about to drag because of stupid games being played in the press there have to be other players on a list somewhere than can do a similar job to Ceballos.

Fucking dragging, just move on.

I see where you’re coming from and I kind of agree with your reasoning for not wanting just a loan.... but if he helps us win a trophy this season then fuck it, I’ll take him! If he wants to use us to show Madrid how good he is then he’ll have to play out of his skin every week, which can only be good for us. And all the fans know where everyone stands from the start so there will be no questioning of loyalty etc.

Better to have loved etc etc.

But yes, would much prefer a loan with an option to buy, makes much more sense.

Worried if this is our main pursuit. I have got to hope that while this is being played out in the media we are actually getting on with signing up Lo Celso, Sessegnon etc

Slightly worrying how quiet this and other deals have gone recently in terms of solid info and ITK. Hope we’re not in another sell to buy situation again ffs.

JJ has said countless times that just because we're hearing nothing, it doesn't mean nothing is happening.

Pobga/Eriksen holding everything up seems the obvious answer. Unbelievably quiet.

Our squad at the moment:

Lloris, Gazzaniga, Whiteman - looks good to me
Aurier, Trippier, Walker-Peters - need places in squad to replace
Rose, Davies - no need to change, maybe add Sessegnon
Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Foyth - no need to change
Winks, Sissoko, Wanyama, Skipp - need places in squad to replace
Ndombele, Sissoko - we could to with +1
Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lucas, Lamela - decent depth, maybe +1 or outs for ins
Kane - needs depth after Llorente has left

Looking at it I see only one or two positions in our squad where we can add without needing to sell, if only for squad numbers and places etc. Ceballos and the areas he can add value is probably one of those areas but only to add squad depth which could prove a stumbling block with his derived 40+ games.
