For me it's more important to get Dele playing better on the attacking side.
He has dropped off a lot attacking wise and I think some of that is because of Pochs got him focused of blocking the lanes which is fine but he hasn't done both.
I think a dynamic Dele would be better than Lo Celso

Don't get that comparison at all, Dele and Lo Celso are completely different type of players

The point is we want to be loaded in the creative areas. We also want to be flexible. Signing VDB doesn't make so much sense because dele and him are similar. Lo Celso plays deeper and plays creative passes, we don't have that. Ndombele and him with someone sitting behind and then who knows in front gives us so much firepower on paper. All we'd be missing is an outside forward/winger to compete with son and Lucas (sessegnon maybe?), and a RB. Then we could play Lucas or son through the middle without losing width and pace outside.

Latest betting on Lo Celso 4/6 to join Spurs, 100/30 to join Atletico , will Atletico be looking to bring in someone to replace Rodri

Would love to know what 80% towards a deal is the equivalent to.

50% - agree personal terms
50-70% making an initial/increase offer
70-80% close to or agree a fee
80-90% agree a payment structure
90-100% formalise the paperwork and pass a medical

What is the difference?
Dele doesn't have a position and has played them all
I'm sure he can create
He has ball talent and an eye for a pass

Atletico also have partey in defensive midfield still. Would expect him to start most matches now, as long as he doesn't get sent off. Bit rash that lad, but a very good player nonetheless. To add, Griezmann and rodri have gone (or will go) for about 170m, Llorente and Felix have come in for similar.

Surely wing backs are the answer

I think that’s probably about right tbh. Keeping in mind that “agreeing a fee” and “agreeing a payment structure” are intimately linked. How much is paid up front, in installments, in bonuses, and for what duration will always affect the total amount, and I believe that is what it means whenever it is said we are “close” to agreeing a fee.
