Agreed. If Aulas says he needs to sell by 30th June he completely loses his negotiation power. He may be telling the truth, he might not be but if he had said anything different he completely throws any power he has when thrashing things out under the bus.

The political solution is they both have look like they won or didn't lose,
Between 65 and 68m should look good
Maybe also we could sell them a player too
Let's say Lamela

Player swaps always complicate things. Lyon is all about the youth movement, so Lamela, Wanyama, etc. (the players we're trying to sell) don't really make sense. From what I've seen, we are offering around 58m and they want around 65m. 62.5m should get it done, which is more than reasonable for a player of his caliber and age.

Didn't Aulas mention 63m? If so he needs to win
So 65 or 68 on the cards

I don't know too much about Lyon but what do you think Lamela is worth? (I mean in the market)
It's a tough question
Is 40m about the mark?

Ha, really? Nice, guess I'm spot on then lol. Loads of numbers get thrown around Twitter, so I was mentally aggregating them. Those "we are offering 50-something and they want 60-something" reports have been out there for weeks.

I wonder whether they get mixed messages about Euros and Pounds. 60m euros is £53m so maybe we're closer to their asking price than suggested.
