Walker a nightmare out there tonight. Did we «let him go» at the right time..?
He’s been at City for 2 seasons and picked up 5 out of a possible 6 domestic trophies... pretty sure he’ll agree that we «let him go» at the right time

It’s not just Stones. All of our defenders in this current team have mistakes in them. Whilst it has been more enjoyable watching England recently and we are a handful going forward at full strength, the quality of our CM and defenders is simply not in the same ball park as the England players of the past.

Why are the commentators banging on about playing out from the back as if it’s something we haven’t seen every top team do for a good number of years.

Yeah exactly. The thing with John Stones is his mistakes aren’t like De Ligt’s in the first half. His mistakes are him doing Cruyff turns and dribbling past players as the last man. Young players make mistakes but they don’t consistently take the absolute piss thinking they’re Messi.

Can somebody out there tell me how the hell Walker gets to play for Pep's team ?

He must be one hell of a lucky man.

Stones and Walker’s continued presence in this side will always lead to games lost that shouldn’t be.

Rice and Barkley have both been ineffectual since about the 70th minute.

Chilwell is a top player.

To be fair to Stones, all of Walker, Maguire, and Chilwell have got away with similar moments, more than once in some cases. And none of the back four have been as bad/ineffective as Rice and Delph. I can only keep saying, the games been reasonably entertaining but it's been error strewn and most players look very rusty.

Yeah - just at the end of regular time, Maguire got mugged off the ball in the box - and should have led to a goal.

Resting the Liverpool and Spurs players makes no sense... you don’t see the Netherlands resting their best players.
