I don't think it is good for a team and the whole spirit if you upgrade at once everywhere around the pitch.
All the work that is done the past years gets a bit lost when you have 5-7 new starting players.

I see the need of a new RB, I understand the interest in Sess as a long term replacement, but there is no need for a foreign LB.
We need a new CB (if Toby leaves), RB, CM x2, AM (if Eriksen leaves) and potentially a Llorente replacement + a 3rd HG keeper maybe if we dont use Whiteman.

Thats already mroe than enough to do. Seriously, we are not playing Football Manager.
It looks increasingly like we will be, tbh. That's 7 players at the least.

Sounds like we are sussing out our options from 1st to whatever, I would think Sess is first for LB, but this could be a good move.

Id take Digne, love Rose but Digne would be a nice signing with a wand of a left foot. Could this be the fan favorite mentioned in the ITK thread the other day?

I wouldn’t have thought Digne and Sessegnon were dependant on one another. Digne would be coming in as first choice LB, whereas Sessegnon would be a squad option we’d likely convert to left-back in the long-term.

One of them signings that we should have got before he made the move to the Prem. Decent player, but I can’t see that he’s be worth the price Everton would demand.

Rose leaving would fit with JJ's players leaving that will be tough to take and not yet in the media. Losing Rose would be painful as he's been here so long, but Digne would be a upgrade that we may need

I got a feeling the player leaving is Lloris. He been with us for ages and I reckon he fancies something new. Buffon gone at PSG... Could be a huge salary on offer

I suspect PSG have their sights higher than Lloris, as much as I rate him.

Wonder why we weren’t in for him last Summer?

And we weren’t hamstrung by lack of cash as the article incorrectly states so seems odd.

I think you can infer from articles, interviews, etc over the last year that we expected a handful of players to leave last summer and that never materialized in a way that we let hamstring ourselves because our entire administrative focus was on the Stadium. Including it seems Danny Rose based on comments he's made. At some point we decided to just try for one or two transfers (Grealish) and keep the team together because things weren't playing out as expected.

I can see Rose leaving this summer.

He’s repeatedly made noises about leaving publicly over the last few years. Openly said he spoke to another club last summer. It’s one of the last windows we could cash in on him and get some good wedge before he gets too old and his final ball and delivery just isn’t that good at all.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Poch was looking to upgrade both fullbacks this summer but whilst we aren’t pushing him out the door, I’d think we’d be open to offers.

Same.

However, if I had the choice of Rose (HG) & Davies (non-HG) or Digne (non-HG) & Sessegnon (HG)... there’s no competition really

I believe Davies counts as homegrown. Cardiff is a part of the FA, and he was on their books for three years before turning 21. Eric Dier, on the other hand, is not. Grew up in Portugal.

Davies is HG for domestic, but not for CL.

I wouldn't be happy with this. Rose is one of the only ones who understands what it means to play for us. The man will run through a brick wall for us.

Another one, Like Lo Celso, we could have got last summer for sensible money as their respective clubs were desperate to sell yet we stood still scratching our balls ?
