If they have half a chance they'll both leave, provided that CL or Chinese clubs are in for them

Why hang around?

If I was Emery, I would seriously consider selling them both, they could probably get 120m (?) plus freeing up a lot in wages. Added to the 40m (reportedly) that is a serious transfer kitty, invest it in some quality youth and rebuild properly.

How come arsenal are skint? Isn’t their stadium all paid off now after 20 odd years in the champions league? Or has their owner just had enough?

I believe the owner is borrowing against future income of the gooners (PL tv) to help finance his NFL stadium build. Dangerous game, I believe leeds did similar when they went on their run in the CL, borrowed assuming they would be I the CL for the next 10 years.

MB, - They are still paying down an affordable structured loan like a mortgage which is about £20 million per year and will not be paid off until 2031. It's not exactly a stadium debt just a 'debt' of about £200+ million.

The fans like to think they have a big war chest but the banks want the club to have a healthy bank balance which is why I personally never want to see Arsenal anywhere near the Champions League where the big money is guaranteed as opposed to the EL.

Stan Kroenke is putting all available funds he can can gather from his worldwide businesses into the super stadium in LA.

I also read somewhere that the Arsenal debt interest rate isnt anywhere near as good as the rate that DL
has got for the TH stadium loan.

Aubameyang is being offered over 300k/pw by a Chinese club. Let's see if Arsenal has to match that now.

The fragile Arsenal fan base will implode if either Aubameyang or Lacazette leave their club. Big fallout. Hopefully.

Well according to the video above, Arsenal can only increase their wages by £7m a year, plus any increases in commercial revenue.

I doubt commercial revenue will increase* without CL football, so that leaves the £7m pot.

Giving PEA £300k a week would be like giving him a £130k p/w wage increase; which equates to £6.7m a year. That's almost all of the wage increase allowance gone.

Obviously players will leave, to free up wages, but are any good players going to join Arsenal without being paid top-dollar...or even market rate, which is pretty steep these days.

*Not sure in which financial year their new shirt deal will be listed. This will greatly help them though.

Moreno released by Liverpool and apparently he's wanted by Emery, loving this
Id rather either Maitland Niles or Bellerin over him.
Maybe there's doubts about Bellerin recovering fully.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Stadium_at_Hollywood_Park#Funding

The stadium is being built privately,[42] but the developer is seeking significant tax breaks from Inglewood.[43]

The cost of the stadium project was originally estimated to be approximately $2.66 billion upon the commencement of construction. However, internal league documents produced by the NFL in March 2018 indicated a need to raise the debt ceiling for the facility to a total of $4.963 billion, making it one of the most expensive sports and entertainment venues ever built.

Team owners were expected to vote and approve this new debt ceiling at a meeting that same month.[44]

Moreno is a left back though...
Id rather have Bellerin or Maitland Niles playing left back over him :sneaky:

I suppose that Lichtsteiner has gone they need cover, but surely they can do better than him?
Its hilarious.

Lichtsteiner was also a right back  Kolasinac and Monreal are the only left backs they have.
