Villa will probably come up and he’ll stay, but if they lose against Derby on Monday he’ll be a very silly boy it he allows Villa to hold him back by asking for silly money for him.
He’s too good for the championship but I’ve seen £60-70m being thrown around by Villa fans and nobody is going to pay that. As much as he might love Villa he absolutely needs to make clear in the summer he needs to leave and play in the Premier League / Champions League.
Just think what you can get elsewhere for that sort of money - they're mental if they think they'll get that
I don't think they want to sell. So if nobody matches that figure they'll be happy.
Yeah fair point. I suppose it's very much in "offer we can't refuse" territory.
At that stage though I think whether or not that strategy works will depend on whether they come up or not. If they refuse to back down on price, but get promoted, then Grealish might be prepared to stick it out for another year and see what happens, it's not like he's miserable at Villa or anything so it's not the end of the world for him to stay another year if they're in the Premiership. However, if they lose in the playoffs and still won't budge on the price then I can see him/his agent agitating for a move. I can't see him wanting another Championship season unless he's ridiculously loyal to his boyhood club.
Don’t villa have a couple of Chelsea players on loan? They’ll need to spend if they want to stay up unless Chelsea will loan them again.

Cue Levy thinking he has them by the balls and playing a game of brinkmanship, only for their circumstances to change in July and for them to come back with a big healthy "Fuck off" to any inquiries thereafter.Villa will have to sell if they don’t go up , they are fucked by ffp
I know sherwood said that if had moved to spurs last summer he'd be playing for england by now. That has to play on his mind a bit.

Will be interesting to see how he plays in a big pressure game. Technically speaking, he will be head and shoulders above anyone on that pitch but his attitude will determine whether that becomes the reality
He was arguably the best player on the pitch Jb last year’s Play Off Final. Will be interesting to see how he plays in a big pressure game. Technically speaking, he will be head and shoulders above anyone on that pitch but his attitude will determine whether that becomes the reality
His attitude isn’t a problem, since he’s come back from injury he’s single handedly dragged villa into the play offsWill be interesting to see how he plays in a big pressure game.
