In light of this, I think Man City need to do the honourable thing and hand over the PL trophy to Liverpool.

in a world full of nonsense this takes the biscuit.

What next.
If goals scored by a player in a red shirt...or from Egypt.. counted as double Liverpool would have won the league....

If coming second in the league with a record points total was rewarded with a bonus two points Liverpool would have won the league...

If Man City's goalkeepers were forced to play all season dressed as Lady Gaga at an awards ceremony....Liverpool would have won the league...

How pathetic can they get? Yes, if we just fundamentally change the laws of the game after the fact then in this completely nonsensical hypothetical situation you might've won the title :banghead:

While they're at it, why don't they make a table that takes into account the 150 bonus points you get every time someone catches the golden ****ing snitch

......but they did ??

I know this has been said so many times. But this is why so many people hate Liverpool FC. And the Liverpool fans do not get it.

I actually have an honest respect for Liverpool FC. Grew up in era when they were awesome.

My thoughts on Klopp even went up after his interview on Sunday.

He said that losing the league was nothing to do with bad luck. He said they had plenty of luck over the season with late goals when they didn't deserve, even mentioned the 'freak' goal against us.

But everything is ruined by there moronic self obsessed fans. They truly are bane on humanity. They say that the whole world is against LFC. Ironically if those Cockwombles fornicated and went away then the club would probably get the respect it deserves.

Their players warming up in justice for Suarez tshirts was the final turning point for me. Had zero respect for that club since then

Can you really blame Liverpool fans about this incident when the info is posted by ESPN UK?

I totally agree with your general point, and if this had come from a fan account that would've been a different story, but this is a supposed legitimate media organisation, it's just pathetic from ESPN.

Damir Skomina named referee for Champions League final… and it’s bad news for Liverpool
Slovenian has taken charge of five Reds games in the past in which they have lost four and won just one

...
He has also officiated two Tottenham matches that came in a 4-3 defeat against Inter Milan in 2010 and a 2-2 draw with Benfica four years later.
The last time Skomina officiated an English side came in Manchester United's remarkable comeback against Paris Saint-Germain.
...

Lots of other text and images but basically saying Liverpool have been hard done by and will the ref do it again...

I hope the dude on the VAR is a Man Utd or Everton fan :ROFLMAO:

That post is not the fans though, that's yet another media company/website pandering to Liverpool's cult-like fanbase in a way which is just pathetic. No other club in England is subject to such sycophantic bullshit (not even Utd outside of the Manchester Evening News), and that's what really grates for many of us. When we see the likes of Marca in Spain tying themselves in knots to spew nonsense about Real Madrid, even our own media outlets scoff at it - but when it comes to Liverpool our media are every bit as bad. And Liverpool fans lack any of the self awareness required to recognise it for what it is - a cynical attempt to monetise their cult-like fandom - and so instead they lap it up as some sort of affirmation of their love of the club and the amount of this type of rubbish across all forms of media gets worse and worse every year.

Whatever happens on 1 June, throughout the British media the story of that game will be told from Liverpool's perspective, just as has happened with the EPL title race and City's triumph. If we win it will be less than 48 hours before some outlets are framing the game as some sort of moral victory for Liverpool and suggesting their defeat is somehow bad for football, if not society as a whole!

Think maybe they got confused with the NBA, its the finals now right? 3Pointers, so goals outside the penalty area should be worth more points. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

to me they still bottled it, they had a 7 point lead, wasn't like they were chasing man city down and just came up a point short. but that match was a pure 6 pointer. if liverpool had managed to grab a point, things would have ended differently.

I'm pretty sure the ESPN staffer who came up with this is a Liverpool fan...

...or a troll of the highest order.

Exactly totally bottled it but yet you have yet to hear one media outlet even mention the fact they were 10 points clear of city. However its ok to absolutely take the piss out of spurs finishing second behind Leicester when Arsenal were top and we were in 4th at christmas. Its so infuriating that english press feel its ok to mock Tottenham. Tottenham have now 6 england players, amazing training facility and stadium seem to be trying to run club correctly from financial aspect and not throw ridiculous money at players and wages. But i dont honestly think i have seen any positive report on this from media.

There is the odd longer article (usually in a Sunday former broadsheet Sport section) that acknowledges the positive aspects of what we're doing.
