I don't really care who didn't spend the money. I do care that we've fallen well of the pace in the title race after February as a direct result of over tired, over used players getting injured. If Poch chose not to sign anyone he needs to re-think this plan.
We need a bit of youth that we can depend all next season. Even if they're just good back ups. We can't go into games with Skipp, KWP, Foyth, Dier, *Lamela, Llorente and Davies as our subs every week.

*Lamela if fit even.

It's no good saying that was only the bench because X, Y and Z were injured. That's gonna keep happening.

Poch didn't want to sign any players whatsoever? I find that difficult to believe. Did he not want us to sign average players? That I can understand.

At the end of his post match presser, a journo asked Poch if Kane will be fit for the final. Poch promptly got up, visibly agitated and left the presser.

My guess is he found it disrespectful that the talk should be about the players that got us to the final and not who was not available, no matter how key the player is to the team.

I think Poch has 'tier one' targets in mind from now on. We're either getting the De Jong (last summer) or Ndombele (this summer) of the world, or nothing at all. He's been burnt by Stambouli, Fazio, N'Jie, N'Koudou and the like too many times, and who can blame him.

It'll be a combination of these top targets plus the best youth prospects available (Sessegnon).

We just need to get them over the line.

How many times does this need to be said Poch wants to sign 1st choice players ...the players weren't available to sign so we waited. We have to back Poch 100. Theres no point signing fillers only to struggle to get rid of them

Couldn't agree more. Enough with the mediocre squad 'fillers'. Let's concentrate on quality additions.

On the other hand, it is impossible that Levy is guilt free for there being no signings.

It's plain to see we have seriously struggled this season since February. Don't let last nights glory mask our form from March to now.

Correct. He's Poch's boss. If I was planning on doing something negligent at work, my boss would pick up on it before it was too late.

The problem is, we need good subs. There's been soo many occasions this season where our Bench has been a joke and we've had nothing to change the game.

Yeah reading between the lines I assume Poch had some top, tier 1 targets. We tried for them and couldn't get any over the line/wouldn't pay up so Dan came back with some Levyball options (Andre Gomes, etc) and Poch said no.

I understand Poch's attitude here, but really wish we'd just signed 1 bloody midfielder on loan at the very least. Not getting anyone in has left us ridiculously short, especially once Dembele sailed off into the sunset.

He said a similar thing before another time when a journo asked him an irrelevant question.

Why have we missed out on players like Grealish, Maddison, about 3 players from Wolves etc. How does this happen, that those teams can pick up players good enough for our squad to get a decent amount of football but we can't?

How comes when we do buy those kinds of players, they're shit? Sack the scouts, get new ones.
