Sounds like Modric and Bale aren’t part of Zidane’s plans at Madrid.... couldn’t do worse than suggest a cheeky swap for Eriksen. Might be a long shot, but imagine Winks getting a year to train and play alongside Modric. And a front 3 of Bale, Kane and Son would be quite delicious.

We need to buy starting 11 players that will come straight into the team. We must identify how we're going to play 4231 532 4411 are the systems we mostly adopted. It is clear we need upgraded full backs DM and more goal scorers the amount of games we lost 2018/19 season was not acceptable thank F other teams fighting for CL Ars-anal Man Utd were just poorer.

If it were a choice between AWB or Atal hands down AWB he is much more solid defensively a superb athlete i feel Poch can improve him going forward. Atal has to much of a risky game for me. Rabiot and or NDombele would be ideal , Grealish is a must Brooks too , pipe dream Sane.

As it stands for me (subject to change)

Tippier - no comment - 25M
Alderweireld - imo he's had a poor season - 25M
Wanyama - injuries also not great with the ball - 15M
GNK - not given a chance suspect he was a experimental buy turned out not good enough - 10M
Llorente - need up grade - free
Vorm - times up - free
Lamela- to many injuries - 15-25M
Rose - final ball just not good enough -30M
Janssen- flop
Aurier - wouldn't mind him staying. I can see potential CL performance were good, shame he got injured. - 20M.

(If Eriksen doesn't sign) figure goes up

Ins
Rabiot- free
Grealish - 35M
AWB - 35-40M
Brooks - 35M
Sane- 60M-70M
Andersen - 25M
LWB ??

tell you what, this would be a good bit of business. With so much work to be done around the squad, picking up DW as a replacement for Fernando/ VJ would be a smart bit of business.
We can't bring in everyone we need in this window. There is a lot of work to be done and 1-2 frees could be useful.
The other one is Milner - again if we want to shuttle out a few, he could be a good option and homegrown.
IF we sell/release: FL, GKN, VJ, Lamela, Aurier, Trippier, Toby, Vorm, Onomah, Wanyama we probably have the money for 3-4 quality additions: Grealish, AWB, perhaps Chilwell.
Maybe there is more money than a zero net spend and we can bo big for NDombele but can't see more money being spent than that. A couple of frees like these would work well.

I didn’t want to say, because this place... , but Wellbeck makes a lot of sense if we are looking to upgrade Llorente. Proven at the top level, talented, strong, can reserve Kane but is good enough to start games on the flanks (like when Son starts the season suspended) and is still 28. 3 year contract with a 1 year option in our favour.

Problem is, he’s always injured.

All of that yet you've still addressed the attack more than the MF with only 1 player, Rabiot. Are you planning on Dier being DM? Or would he partner with Winks? Either way doesn't that still leave us light to injuries and form?

My belief is that we need at least 3 real MFers, not folks that can do a job. And I'm not too enamored with Rabiot but at least it addresses a deficiency. But with the way Ndombele abused him in their games I am not sure he wil have the bite needed for the PL (as well as the quickness) and we have become a supremely soft touch lately.

Hopefully now with 4th almost guarenteed, we can start the rebuilding process for next season, none of this dragging you feet approach trying to get the best deal as possible.
I never want to see our side with so many failings in it. Approach it like Liverpool did last season. No excuses now. If you want the fans to back the club with their cash, give them a squad fitting of our stadium. It doesnt need to be big names but as long as the holes and problems in the squad is sorted.
For me i agree especially if we want Poch to have a chance to implement his philosophy and training methods upon them.

Alderweireld has had a poor season?

Toby is pure class. He has played 65 games this season, you woldn't think he could have done that after last seasons injury.

I don't think Alderweireld has had a poor season, but it's more around how the team has played in general, which has been a major disappointment. And more so our defense espically Trippier and Lloris + Foyth has been absolute shit and cost a lot of points.

Hell I think Alderweireld is running for player of the year with Sissoko and Son.

A slight overhaul may be what is needed but it won't happen over one window.
I do feel we need to get rid of plenty of deadwood.
I'd also like us to get back to eyeing young, talented, & ambitious players.
But this pool of players should be in the next tier up.
I believe that our past few years of success makes us fairly attractive to these types of players.

Given that Poch tends to favour smaller squads & the difficulty we have bringing in players I expect more outgoings than incomings.

My valuations for outgoing would be fairly conservative while the incomings are liberal.
My wishlist would look like this.

OUT
Vorm - FREE
Trippier - £30m
Toby - £25m
Wanyama - £10m
Sissoko - £20M
Lamela - £20M
Eriksen - £60M
Janssen - £8M
GNK - £5M

TOTAL - £188M

IN
Andersen - £20M
Atal - £35M
Ndombele - £60M
Berge - £30M

Brandt - £30M
Pepe - £65M

TOTAL - £240M

A net spend of £52M. Could possibly be much less.
None of the incomings are Prem proven but they are experienced at a high enough level despite their young age.

Not going to happen but it's a wishlist.

Some may be surprised that I listed Sissoko. He's been massive & a huge revelation for us this season but I feel that his stock may never be as high given his age. If we could get £20M for him, it may only take another £40M to get Ndombele which for me would be a huge upgrade & great business.

Obviously, I'd love to get players like De Ligt, Felix, Sancho, Havertz, De Jong, et al but...

Seems like we are getting ready for Eriksen to go then if you believe the papers. Not sure who I’d want to replace him personally.

On one hand I could understand him wanting Real Madrid, all for the obvious reasons. On the other hand, his new contract with us wouldn’t be peanuts, he’s been with us for a while so why not follow through when we are only two wins away from champions league glory and see where we go.

I guess he could just want the new challenge, but it’s not like his life in london isn’t good. Who’s to say he’d get the same guarantees there with his young family.

N’dombele links are very exciting, would really elevate us.

I was thinking our business would be along the lines of: AWB / Tielemans / Gomes / Ziyech / Bale (loan)

He’s been great. The midfield protection just hasn’t been very good this year compared to Dembele, Wanyama, even Dier at their best. We’ve been giving up far more chances per game than in previous seasons.

If Sissoko has another season like the one he just had, he’d be worth more than the £20m that you think we should accept. Personally, if I was Levy, I wouldn’t accept anything lower than £30m for him. Otherwise I’d rather keep him and rotate him with whichever incoming CM that we get in the summer.

Bruno Fernandes beating Frank Lampard's midfield goal record with 31 goals this season - assume he's been mentioned but is it he totally out of our league?

Nope. Not totally out of our league. There's every chance he could end up in the Premier league at City or United. :sneaky:

In no world would I consider selling Sissoko this summer, let alone for £20m.

He’s been our player of the season for me, we massively miss him when he’s not there. Frankly he had a good shout at getting in the team of the year.

I can’t see, even for a 29 year old, that it makes sense to lose a player of that profile, especially one in a problem position for us.

We have to keep him.

Have loved Eriksen here, and his goal against Brighton is looking monstrous now but I've a always thought he's been 5-10% off it for the last couple of months.

The thing is though, he' still been one of our best performers but you could just tell he hadn't been at his best for those consistent periods, just a little off it.

Not surprised if he knew he'd be leaving. Wonderful player for us overall though.

Plenty of factors have contributed to our slump but this has been one of them imo.

Those transfer fees you are mentioning there must be Levy's opening bids or fees that may have worked 3 seasons ago. Add 10-15M and you'd be closer
You really believe ManC are going to sell Sane to Spurs? I would of course like to see him at Spurs but that's not happening.
