It begins.

Wow. I would like to say that with my life’s experience I have some emotional intelligence so I would tend to think that reading between the lines this particular muppet is none too happy!?. Unfortunately this is what happens when you let football ruin your life.

Quite right....drugs and Arsenal can ruin your life. That's why both are often just referred to as "shit".

Hate to say it about an Arsenal fan, but what a balanced individual.

Made his point eloquently and tbf imo was spot on with everything he said.

And not one profanity in the whole rant.

Arsenal are in an incredibly difficult situation :)ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:) at the moment.

The board is looking at what we are doing and the budget spent to achieve it, and potentially/maybe looking to try to replicate.

The difference is timing. They were dining at the top table when realistically there were only 4 chairs.

At the back end of this period we started to overhaul and restructure, putting a long term plan together with Pochettino as an integral part of that plan.

5 years on we are where we are now, and we have been lucky to the point where during that period, with the exception of City and to a certain degree this season Liverpool, everyone else has either remained static or declined.

We now have a solid foundation to build on going forward and unless we fuck things up have a very bright future.

But it has taken us 5 years to fulfill that ideal.

Which is where Arsenals problems lie.

Take the current top 4, throw in Arsenal and United. Ignore at you peril teams like Everton, to a certain degree Leicester, Wolves, Watford etc. who have all got wealthy owners.

And there is also a distinct possibility that other very wealthy owners will join the party.

A five year plan will now see them competing with potentially 5 or 6 other teams over that same period.

Without a massive cash injection for teams like Arsenal, they could find themselves dragged into what could be seen in today's PL terms as mediocrity.

I for one would love to see them competing with the likes of Leicester, Wolves and Watford for Europa League spots, but it should also be a warning for us not to rest on our laurels. It would not take a massive shift for us to be battling in that mini league either.

Great post!. Looks like we have got away with it this year, and have relied on others to get in the top 4. Massive summer for us, as we cannot rely on others to dig us out of a hole in the future.
As for Arsenal I genuinely believe that they need a massive cash injection. They have an ageing, underperforming team and the graduates from their academy simply do not look good enough. Be interesting to see if they stick with Emery, or indeed if Emery sticks with them.

They need a serious clearcut of both players with limited abilities and players who stealing a living.

Robbie won’t like that. Not enough drama for hits. He won’t be on again.
