Win today and top 4 was all but wrapped up... then we turn in that gutless/sloppy performance.

The whole performance was epitomised by Poch taking off Moura and not taking a defensive player at 0-0

And then when we need a goal at 85... Alli off for Wanyama? He didn't play well but he can score goals and 6 minutes rest is not going to make a difference for Tuesday.

Does Poch realise if results go against us this weekend we are back in the top 4 battle big time.

Zero belief once we went one down and laughable from players and management today.

Need some big transfers in the summer.

Chelsea and Arsenal win and there is 1 point in it again. Not looking so rosy now... see what tomorrow brings

I think last week our rivals unexpected results gave us some breather. We still in quite a lead for top 4.

But just this first loss in our new ground against these spammers disgusted me..

If arsenal and Chelsea win then it really is squeaky bum time as a difficult away game against Bournemouth in between the champions league semi finals, don’t see us winning there personally!

No way we are winning at Bournemouth so it’s going to go to the final day & apart from Huddersfield we aren’t blowing teams away at Home. So Everton will be nervy till the end

It would be perfect if we win on Saturday and by the end of the weekend have top 4 sealed. We can then rest everyone against Bournemouth before the return leg against Ajax. With Son and hopefully Sissoko back for the 2nd leg we'll give ourselves the best chance of whatever result we need there.

I still find it amusing that Spurs fans can possibly ever think like this. When has the universe ever turned in such a way for us?!? :D

It was always risky business going two windows without buying players to strengthen and it absolutely caught up with us today. We didn’t look like a cohesive football team, we looked like an assembly of professional footballers turning out for a game. When the margins are so fine at this level, you have to consider how the following can happen without impacting on the cohesion of the squad:

Rose in central midfield
Foyth as right back ( he wasn’t bad, but he’s not a maurading fullback)
An obviously knackered Dele as the engine room in midfield
Son looking knackered for the third game on the bounce
Janssen and Llorente on the pitch when we’re chasing a game
Moura, our brightest threat, being subbed instead of the chronically ineffective Dele or Son
Wanyama coming on to play alongside Dier when we’re chasing a game
Wanyama looking exhausted as soon as he came on
Eriksen as our only creative outlet who had to drop deeper and deeper to find the ball
Dier, off the back of a long term injury looking ponderous and ineffective for at least half the game
Remember, this wasn’t just a standard game- it was arguably more important than the CL semi final from a financial perspective. Win today and we’d more or less guaranteed another year of CL football and the associated benefits. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for us to progress to the CL
final, but qualifying for next season’s CL is second only to winning it, and as a club we shouldn’t be in the awful position we were in today which felt amateurish because we didn’t have the quality on the bench to fix things

My favoured result at old Trafford depends on arse game. If gooners win I'd want United win to keep gap to Chelsea. If they lose think I'd want Chels win to effectively end United's chances and leave gap to goons.
