I think we need to stop worrying.

Our form wobble, imo, was directly linked to 3 things that are no longer relevant

1) An unfit Kane coming back too soon
2) Poor attendances and atmosphere at Wembley
3) Having to play Lolerpool and Shitty away and losing both, quite unluckily.

The 3 below us have been appalling and are only skiffing around because of the above. Which is totally irrelevant now.

We'll better Brighton tonight. We'll beat West Ham. We'll beat Bournemouth. Everton could be tricky but it shouldn't matter.

We actually only played one 'home' game in that period. Against the goons at Wembley.

It was a torrid run of form but it was a tricky run of fixtures too and I do think a lot had caught up with us. But the new stadium has arrived and given everyone a lift and extra focus. I'm sure it'll see us over the line.

Please stop with the injuries though.

Dame Fortune has at last
smiled upon us
in terms of our rivals' results.
No doubt feeling guilty for the Stadium delays
and our injury list.

It would be grossly impolite
not to accept her bounty
and fail to batter Brighton tonight
Sorry Chrissy
and win our remaining games
in style.

3rd. is the new 1st.

Funny how Neil Warnock and all the media outlets that strongly believed we'd struggle in the new place have gone deathly quiet.

None of them ever considered we were moving from Wembley back to WHL reincarnated. All the teams they used as examples moved into bigger, soul-less bowls no where near their roots. None of them were moving away from such a despised temporary home and, in some cases, they were piss poor teams anyway. Arsenal moving to the Emershites is just about comparable as they were at the top of their game then. WHU to the running stadium is nothing like it, they were and still are gash. Shitty to the hand-me-down stadium was even worse than WH as they didn't even have the porn barons as sugar daddies, let alone a squillionaire.
Then you're looking at the likes of Sunderland, Boro, Bolton. It's pathetic anyone was comparing us to those teams and expecting similar results.

No doubt they'll try and say next season, when we fail to win 17 and draw 2 that it's a dip in form from the last season at WHL, but they'll fail to consider that was our best season league wise since 61 ffs.

assuming we beat BHA tonight, which almost everyone believes we will as almost everyone believed the goons would beat palace and chelsea would beat burnley.

football has gone nuts in the last week - cannot take anything for granted. BHA will put 10 men behind the ball and defend deep which leaves less space for Sonny and Lucas to attack.

going to be a hard game, unless we score early.

Not really. Palace have a great away record 7th best in league and Arsenal were off back of Thursday night game. Burnley won last 3 and won at bridge last season and Chelsea again off back of Thursday night. In fact I tipped up both results on twitter. Brighton on the other hand haven’t scored in 5 had just 2 touches in wolves box both by defenders. Where as we’ve won 3 in 3 scored 7 and conceded none at new stadium. Literally the only case I can make for Brighton is they are desperate for a point but I’ve a feeling they’ll be more concerned their goal difference doesn’t take a hammering. Hughton will have targeted the Newcastle game as the 1 win they need. I think they’ll be more desperate to get away from us with a respectable defeat than desperate for a point.

Brighton will stick 11 men behind the ball for 90 minutes. They won't venture out of their own half.

We'll have to play smart. I always say it, but I think we're better off conceding possession to draw teams out a little bit, rather than trying to press all out players into their half, with them all behind the ball.

Key tonight will be to move the ball quickly and get Son and Moura running at them. We can't play too much in front of them.

I posted on here last week that now we are in the semi finals winning the CL should be our priority which did not get universal support among SC posters so I wouldn't be surprised if his mate was ambiguous on the matter, that said Goldstein is a bit of an arse who always tries to wind up Spurs fans and I don't believe it the way he is spinning it.

I think once we get this week over with we will be in a position to prioritise the CL.

I dont care if we finish third or fourth personally if it means we can prioritise the CL - that is a risk id be willing to take. Far more beneficial to get to the CL final than finish third - the kudos, the media attention, the way players would view us for potential transfers would far outweigh any bragging rights

I say we play Janssen. It will confuse the hell out of Brighton, they wouldn't have prepared for him.

I'd give Janssen some minutes second half but I think Llorente needs to start tonight, if they're going to sit deep, we need to pump the ball in the box, not sure the pace of Moura and Son will help much if they are already sat on the goal line.

Our lot probably the same.

Being at it from the get go
Full body press
Scoring early,
moving the ball quickly
taking our chances
are never a bad idea
in a one legged tie.
Not that we have any
one legged players.

CL is different.
Although....

If we get the win tonight vs Brighton, id be in favour of risking the west ham match to rest players to keep people fit for Ajax. I know people are worried about top4 but personally i'm not and id rather not get dragged into a fist fight with West Ham and exhaust our squad.

I don’t even think we need a DM tonight. Full backs can play as wingers. Total full court press for first 30 minutes and get the goal.

Janssen to score at the new stadium before Kane. What would have been the odds on that at the start of the season!?!?

if we dont score early on tonight, it could be a frustrating watch.
To put it mildly.
Terrifying more like
Squeaky bottoms will have nothing on it.
heartbreaking comes close
or terrified
with a drizzle of panic.
