Sissoko will be back for the first legSo is it true he will be missing in our first cl leg? Massive loss, along with Sissoko and Kane.
What makes you think so?Sissoko will be back for the first leg
The pair of them are world-class players in their own right but Bent says he believes the chemistry between them is just not there.
"Harry Kane obviously missed the large part of the season just gone and Son stepped up again, scoring lots of goals," he told The Debate.
"Now Harry Kane has gone down again and Son has stepped up again.
"If you look at their goal records... Harry Kane goes out, Son scores all these goals. Harry Kane comes back and then Son didn't score for five games and he didn't look like himself.
"Harry Kane wasn't there against City and it's like Son plays with a freedom. He's then their focal point.
"It's hard because if Harry Kane is fit, he's got to play regardless. I know the chemistry between him and Son may not be great but him, being one of the best strikers in world football, he has to play.
Interesting comments from Bent.
But looking back at the games, there might be some truth to that. I wonder what happen. Last season, Kane Ali Son Eriksen were a unit. This season its seems so disjointed
I mentioned this a couple of week ago and was told it was just an coincident that Son doesn't play as well when Kane's around...but seeing Son again step up when Kane's out it certainly can't be a coincident. Recently, Son looks a different player when Kane's gone. In his first 2 season Son looked hapless as a CF and few, if any - including me - thought he could cut it as a CF but now he's a world class CF.
Pochettino really have to sit down and look into how to get the very best out of both Son and Kane when they play together. So far he haven't, despite of Son having had an excellent season.
80m gets his left boot!Love this guy. His value Must've gone through the roof after Weds. £80m? The thing is unlike others I can see him wanting to stay and repay the loyalty we've shown him. He also attracts so many Koreans which is great commercially and is a great deputy for taking on Kane's mantel if he's injured /sold
Was going to vote Sissoko for player of the season but Son is definitely ahead now!
80m gets his left boot!
200m gets the entire package.
And no I do not want him sold. The man is Gold.
Jan is better than TobyAnybody have any idea what son shouted in the celebration to the camera?

Absolutely. I can barely bring myself to say this, but I think we all know deep down, that come summer, many very big clubs are going to want to sign him, but if we are regular Champions League contenders, playing in a massive new stadium, the best in the world right now...under one of the best and brightest young managers, with an adoring fan-base and a world class training facility...the only thing which might tempt him away is the wages. This HAS to be one of the club's major priorities this summer, to pay our best players their market value. We have no excuse not to any more. Players like Sonny should be on £200,000 to £250,000 per week. We've just recently announced a world record post-tax profit of £113 million and this coming season, we're looking at greatly enhanced revenue streams with NFL and other non-football events taking place at the new WHL.
The players are our life-blood. They are the things which have gotten us to where we are and they should be rewarded accordingly as dictated by the current market. Cries of 'Spurs don't pay the wages...' should banished for ever as we move forward into a new era.
.
That's not gonna happen, we don't pay the 'going rate' because we can't afford to pay the 'going rate'. I can't see him being tempted away for money regardless... He's one of the few that actually get Spurs and he's committed to the club despite what he's earning.
Son signed a new deal last summer for five years, off the back of an equally (if not better) season. No need to chuck money at him for a good while yet.
Pinched from reddit - hard to recall that he actually played for anyone other than us!
All his CL goals - so far
I don’t disagree with that, but with a finite pot of money and several key players entering the final couple of years (or in some cases, year) of their deals, Son could wait one more season. You're right, there's no need to chuck money at him yet. But Levy (the club) seem to consistently reward performing players with improved contracts.
It's a nice habit to have.
