Not sure if this fits in here but I saw this on twitter regarding Reals latest shirt deal:

The new Adidas contract of Real Madrid has the potential to hit €200m/year - that's the best deal in sports history.
- €160m is fixed.
- €15m if you play in Champions League.
- Plus additional €25m for trophies won.

Absolutely maddening when you consider what our latest total revenue was. Barcelona and Real are really top of the foodchain. Will be interesting to see what Levy can pull out of his hat for the naming rights deal.

I think you need some perspective in global terms which is a huge decider in shirt deal amounts. Real Madrid have 31 million followers on twitter we have 3 million.

Those numbers are crazy but I always wonder what it means. It doesn’t mean they have 31 million fans. We definitely don’t have 3 million.

We have way more than 3 million fans worldwide. I’d guesstimate we have a million in London alone. But obviously there’s a big difference between asking someone their favourite team and someone being a real supporter. But it doesn’t take much to press a button on twitter. Remember we currently have 225k fans who are paying at least £50 a season. Don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to find another 750k in London who’s say their favourite team was spurs.

One million Spurs fans in London!? So one in 9 or 10 Londoners supports Spurs? I don’t think so.

Plenty of tickets available for Tuesday night on the exchange. Where's the best place to go to stand/sing my heart out for my likely one and only game at the new place this season? South upper? Lower?

I’d guess it’s easily a million. If you add in Essex and Home Counties that’s a 12-14 million catchment area. Who else they supporting Arsenal Chelsea West Ham Liverpool United. Can’t say I come across that many Liverpool and United supporters myself although I’m sure there are a few. And remember this discussion was about following on social media not match going. And yeah it’s 225k paying £50 or more. 50k ST holders and 175k members.

I’ve bought my ticket for Ajax and noticed I’ve been charged £1.75 booking fee as a non member, rather than no fee for being a member.

Surely as a season ticket holder, I am a member?

All ST holders get charged a booking fee. If you registered for auto pay for cup games you’ll get the booking fee refunded
