Wasn't deliberate so goal standing was correct decision.

In practice a goal like that will always be ruled out if it's seen. They're changing the rule from next season to clarify, but you can't get a material advantage like that and score thank to it coming off your arm. Certainly the ref should've been shown that angle and they'll have to answer for why he wasn't.

This has just prompted me to check the CL final date, it's the day my first child is due... Hospital better have some WiFi!
Child birth's overrated. If you really wanna experience it have another, or retrain as a midwife. This is Spurs in the champs league final. You can't miss Danny Rose holding the cup aloft. You're welcome:)

Wut? Even if it glanced his arm it was not in an unnatural position so it's a goal.

Isn't the new rule that you can't score with your arm? Well, he didn't, he scored with his hip. That it touched the arm before that is irrelevant, he didn't use his arm to score.

Well, our fans have now got another opportunity to watch a game at our spanking new stadium this season.

Nope.

“A goal scored directly from the hand/arm (even if accidental) and a player scoring or creating a goal-scoring opportunity after having gained possession/control of the ball from their hand/arm (even if accidental) will no longer be allowed”

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-s...ged-for-goal-scoring-situations-idUKKCN1QJ0EC

They did also point out that this was intended as a formal claification of how the rules already tend to be applied. I'm pretty confident that had the ref seen that angle, it would've been ruled out.

To be fair to Paul Merson tonight he was very complementary to Spurs tonight. I don't think anyone regardless of who they support could not be impressed with how we managed to get through this tie. I said before the game that I believed but once I seen Raheem Sterling bang that 93rd minute goal in I was completely in tears. My brother-in-law told me to put £50 on City to qualify tonight, the logic being if we had went out I would have at least won some money but I am so delighted to have lost that particular bet. It was £50 well spent. I have been so fortunate to still be here after a pretty bad illness recently and going to the new stadium was I believed to be the high water mark of the season for me but tonight at full time I will gladly admit that I completely broke down in tears of joy.

But is that rule in effect now, or from next season? Either way, he has his hands as close to his body as is possible, and in front of himself to boot - I can't see how the hand is instrumental in him getting control of the ball. It would've hit him either way.

gotta say the guys at Blue Moon are pretty reasonable. one or two moaning about VAR but far more saying the calls were correct and they bottled it in the first leg. I dont know if Id be so rational if it was the other way around.

Now heads down and focus, focus, focus the fuck out of every minute of the season that's left. No room for complacency.

What I don't get is why the fuck some of you would choose not to watch the game/parts of it. What's the point. We need to embrace these moments. They don't come often
