I went to this match, the atmosphere was just fantastic and it was constant for 90 minutes. You had kids to pensioners there and no one moaning that they couldn't see.

I was at this match but I was sitting in the away end because I had my Leg in a Boot after having Achilles reconstruction, you could see it all happening from a distance and the arsenal fans did not know what to make of it.

You can stand in south lower because it was designed with safe standing in mind. Eventually once it's all settled down south lower should by rights be the standing section and so if you want to stand get a ticket in there if you can.
No you can’t.
It’s against ground regulations in the top two divisions in England. You have no rights to stand until the rules change.
I agree that a lot of this standing in the South Stand will lessen when the initial excitement over the stadium passes, and we’re back to bread and butter league games again.

While officially it’s all seater my point about doing research stands (pardon pun). If you’re spending at least a grand on something take 10 minutes to find out what you’re buying. And if you do happen to land upon a ticket for the Park Lane, do your best to embrace it instead of being ‘that guy’.
I have some sympathy with people who don't know about stands and either chose or got allocated one there. Technically the whole stadium is all seating. The issue is that the rules aren't matching the reality of what's going on, but that's not the customer's fault.

Sitting down doesnt stop you from bloody singing though does it - it doesn't detract from the atmosphere football has changed standing is a thing of the past

Are you fucking serious?

Sitting down and atmosphere dont go

Sitting down and prawn sandwich go

If you want to sit down sit in the east West or North stand and stop being a boring fart

Stop being touchy

Football is about passion,

If everyone had your attitude we would be the Emirates
That's why I'm 'touchy'. You imply unless you stand in the south stand you don't have passion, and must be a boring fart. That's absolute rubbish. 45,000 people that go to WHL every week and don't want to stand can have just as much passion.

The South stand was designed for the purpose of creating a wonderful atmosphere, most people in that want to stand... Your point of 45000 is pointless as the South stand doesn't represent those figures

If you don't like standing fair enough, but go and sit in other parts of the stadium

Do you really believe that the majority of fans in the south stand want to stay seated??
If you think so you are deluded

it was also designed with the rules being that standing isn't allowed, and when it is it will only be the South Lower

If people want to discuss the merits of standing vs seating then go ahead.

But there is no need to throw insults at either set of fans, as at the end of the day we all support the same club.

Were the kids brought down to the front of the stands? Could see a few right at the front.

I remember the first game I went to as a kid, it was vs Coventry and a steward pulled us out from the stands and took us down to the front so we could see.
Nit something that could happen in seated stadiums

Non league FC United fans standing in a seated area while they shared at Bury!
In 50 years of watching football I've never seen people seated create anything like this for atmosphere.

If it was just a transactional procedure this wouldn’t be a problem but this is life for a lot of people, a religion if you like. You’re walking into a place of worship and there’s things in there that don’t appear on the balance sheet. It’s not a trip to the theatre and if we are to go from 36k to 62k then there’s a lot of new people who will encounter a lot of old behaviour. Which one will win out? In the end probably the balance sheet. But they won’t go quietly.
