Sonny looks genuinely emotional after his goal. Also good that he (and probably all the players) are lifted by coming home to an 'unbelievable' stadium:

He’ll probably go on a scoring run again now. He seems to have amazing patches throughout the season as opposed to playing consistently every game. Wouldn’t surprise me if he scored 4 or 5 more before the season ends.

I adore Son. His comments about racism and being there for Rose and each other are superb. Delighted he scored our first goal in this new era; he’s a brilliant player and a decent human being. If he’s on form over the next few weeks, we can really trouble City and bank a top three finish

The amount of people on here over the summer that argued Zaha was a better player was insane to me.

I don’t remember many saying Zaha better than Son. I remember a shedload ( correctly ) saying Zaha is much better than Lamela and Moura though!

Is it only me who feel that Son's form have suffered after Kane returned? It's as if he's more restricted in his movement now than when Kane weren't playing.
PS! NO....this is defo NOT a "Kane out" post!

I am warming up to having a close look as Martin Ødegaard, although I am not sure whether his physique will fit in the EPL.
PS! If you wanna skip to the highlight of the highlight go to 4:18 where he copies a famous Zidane move:

OPS! Wrong thread!!! :whistle::cool:

Champions League: How ‘Little Seoul’ fell in love with its favorite Son

An interesting article on Son by CNN.

"..............
Mr. Son, as he is affectionately known here, is actually Son Heung-Min, the South Korean Tottenham football star and national hero. That he is referred to as Mr. Son is a sign of the high esteem in which he is held.

For Min-Kyu, Son, whose instantly recognizable face was broadcast across the world when he scored the first ever goal at Tottenham’s new $1.3 billion stadium last week, is a shining example of how an insatiable work ethic yields success.

“It’s hard to explain how he makes me feel but I think more than anything Son makes me feel proud,” he said....................

“He’s Korea’s best player of all time. Park Ji-Sung was good but Son is at a different level. He works so hard, he scores goals, he always gives 100%.

“He is a living example of what I have always said; that hard work will always beat talent.

“When I see that Son has done it, it gives me the belief that I can do it too.”

For Min-Kyu, like so many other South Koreans across the diaspora, Son’s success has become a source of national pride."
