I would love to believe this as well but can seen Utd (Valencia leaving) or City buying him. I think he's out of our league, he shouldn't be but we don't seem to compete for these types of signings. We mess around and then put in a low ball offer like we supposedly did with Zaha.
I don't even think it needs to be Wan-Bissaka, as good as he will become. Just happy if we get rid of our current RBs tbh. Promote KWP to back-up and buy someone with some serious pace and power. AWB, Aarons, Atal....

Don't think we could afford bissaka now he will go to one of the big clubs imo.

Arsenal have Bellerin, Chelsea can't sign players, Liverpool have Alexander-Arnold, Man City have Walker & Danilo.

I'm not sure there's a huge amount of takers in the right back department at the moment. We'll see I guess

My football manager like ideal changes to the squad based on how things are looking over the next couple of summer windows would be:

Out -
Vorm - free
Trippier - £20m
Aurier - £20m
Alderweireld - £25m
Rose £18m
Davies - £20m
Wanyama £5m
Sissoko - £15m
Eriksen - £65m
Lamela - £20m
Lucas - £20m
Nkoudou - £5m
Janssen - £5m
Llorente - free
£238m back from sales & 14 moved on

Nick Pope - £12.5m
Wan-Bissaka £40m
Aarons - £20m
Andersen - £25m
Grimaldo - £25m
Sessegnon - £30m
Berge £20m
Kovacic - £40m
Gravenberch - £22.5m
Havertz - £50m
Brandt - £22m
£285m on players in & 11 new players in

Squad of:

Lloris, Gazzaniga, Pope
Wan-Bissaka, Aarons, Walker-Peters
Vertonghen, Andersen, Sanchez, Foyth
Grimaldo, Sessegnon
Dier, Berge, Skipp, Winks, Kovacic, Gravenberch
Havertz, Dele, Brandt, Son
Kane, Parrott

Sessegnons versatility means he doubles up as a FB for the future but can offer options as a WF as and when required. Walker-Peters offers flexibility as a RB and LB option should we need it.

11 HG players in the squad, 5 of which would have come through the academy leaving us breathing space. Son would be my backup FWD, Parrott as a last resort but use the season to blood him. Getting a more senior forward in would only stump his progress.

£47m spent. This is my dream world, these are the fantasies that play out in my head as I sit at work waiting for the weekend to start.

If you take a zero off bissakas reported price we have a chance beyond that forget it.

Why not? We paid £40m for Davinson Sanchez so it's not something we're alien to.

Out of curiosity how much do people think Wan-Bissaka is worth seeing as he's had one full season at Premier League level and still isn't capped at international level?

I don't know mate these days ridiculous price's get slapped onto player's after a decent performance or season as a club we just don't want to pay those rates, I just can't get all worked up about potential incomings because I don't believe the club want to involve themselves in all that nonsense they would rather just stay on their own path.

Would like Wener to come in. With his contract running down hope Levy will be all over this. A front 3 of son, Kane and Werner would be as good as any in Europe. If Eriksen departs I would like to see Dele play deeper in that role

Youcef Atal £??? seen comparisons to walker, blistering speed, has played all down the right hand side. Wouldn't be homegrown so i imagine he's not one of our first choices but certainly worth a look
I have actually managed to see an OGC Nice game in September last year when I was in Cannes on vacation. Atal got subbed on around the 60 minute mark and later got booked for a dive in the penalty area. :D However I remember him quite well because he had blistering speed and great technique. He almost felt like a winger.

Other than that the game was really poor and I can see why people are questioning the quality of Ligue 1. It was Championship quality at best.

when I said in the Poch thread I don't expect to change much on our spending, what I should of said we won't be having a window that equals silly money. when you consider we spent 42m on Sanchez, 40m on the Palace kid considering either Aurier or Trippier will head out means that it's something I would expect the club to try and get done.

yes we have a big debt on the stadium to pay off, but Levy also knows to put bums on seats we will need to spend to progress. we all know Arsenal took some time, but even they would still spend more than they sold most of the time. Levy will want CL football at least every season, and that won't be always possible with a net spend

Didn't see the U21 game, but I can echo @danielneeds thought's that Lloyd Kelly looks a player.

Didn’t see the game but I’ve mentioned Kelly quite a few times on here. He looks quality; tall, strong, quick, and classy on the ball. He’s been playing LB for Bristol City, but looking at their forum, the general consensus seems to be that he’ll end up at CB.

I know it's a shit-stain of a rag, but I like this rumour so I choose to believe it...

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...trippier-pochettino-chases-aaron-wan-bissaka/

Could see Everton as a good fit for Trippier. Silva strikes me very much as a stats and xG type manager, and Trippier's track record of chance creation would suit them.

Wan Bissaka is defensively brilliant, but I really like the look of Aarons too. He’s super athletic, aggressive and brave defensively, and looks very comfortable on the ball. Either would be welcome in the summer.

He's too small for a CB. Unless he's not 1.78m like it says in transfermarkt

A full back who is composed and can run at their man as well as cross. I'd be very happy if we got something similar to what that YouTube video highlights.

Kelly & Aaron's as backup to 2 of our current 4? That wouldn't be bad going to get things moving in the right direction long term

Seems to have Lamelaesque levels of one-footedness.
