I am 75 years old left school at 14 and have minimal education because my grammar is not up to your standards does that mean I am not allowed an opinion? People who are always picking up on grammar are so clever I wish they would disappear up there own backside then there eyes would not be damned by people whose grammar is not up to there standard.
I'm 3 years younger than you but I can spot a bit of banter as opposed to harsh criticism, just chill and go with the flow fella.

It is a bit hard to accept as it does not need to be said ; if I had a fantastic intellect I would not spend my time looking to pull up others about their lack of education as it would be crass and rude but no doubt a bit of light fun for some and I can assure you its no joke when you have to be pulled up every time your grammar is wrong by someone who is obviously better than you with grammar .
But remember being good at grammar does not make your views any more credible.

OK, I understand where you're coming from, some people can be crass and not think before they write but just let it go over your head or at least try to. I was luckier, I missed conscription and ended up going to a top grammar school. Didn't make the most of it though, shame on me.
I also always think there are people worse off than I as well. Stands me in good stead through harder moments when things don't seem to be going my way.

In before “Guys, this isn’t the thread for a grammar debate. Please head over to the ‘What other teams fans are saying about us’ thread.”

The punditry world is looking up in my opinion Jenus Rosenoir Mason Morrison. and before anyone says that two are ex spurs and one is a spurs fan I am not talking about there views on all things spurs I am talking about what they have to say about football matters in general and I ask you Merson Thompson Nicholas Stelling which four would you prefer to listen to on their own views?.
The sky panel four I know what they are going to say before they open their gobs.
The younger four refreshing and sometimes insightful.

I really like Rosenior - really speaks sense and is quite articulate in making his points. Jenas is sensible and whilst he has some bias he can also be critical and objective when needed.

Danny Murphy also isn't doing himself any favours by saying this:

"Do neutrals really want Liverpool to lose the title? No way! I believe nation has soft spot for them after hard time"

Low blow I know but even his wife knew he was a twat. Not one person on this planet would want the insufferable fuckers winning the league.

He isnt just a twat but he is a grumpy twat

I left school at 15 with a D in English. You don't have to stop learning just because you're not at school anymore.
I'm 38 now. I imagine if I read something from my 15 year old self, I would hate it, sit myself down, and then explain the benefit of good spelling and grammar to myself.

I have an idea lets have an English grammar exam to university level and only those that pass can post on spurs community.
Then the few that are left can go around patting each other on the back and say "its wonderful only communicating with people on my level" They would be able to stroke each others ego until there arms ache . Of course their arms could ache for other reasons namely they are wankers.

Came into this thread thinking there was some arsehole giving out yards about us today and that's the reason pages are flying.

Not disappointed though because the grammar and education arguments are much more entertaining. Keep it going lads.

Alternatively, you could just take it at face value, make a mental note and spell it differently next time. I always try to make it a bit humorous or fun when pointing out an errant bit of grammar and I usually only mention it when it confuses the meaning of the post (or, TBH, when it's one of my bugbears, such as "should of" and "would of" and "top draw").

I also try to avoid aiming any such posts at people who write "incorrectly", but still make their point clear, because that's what really important: communicating clearly. Grammar and spelling help, but there are plenty of people who can get their point across without a university education and plenty of other people who use their education to blow smoke and try to conceal that they are talking absolute bullshit.

Sometimes it isn't mockery and it isn't the class war. It's just information about writing with clarity.

Your still wankers oh I forgot to add smug and arrogant obviously a cut above muppets like me.
You say people like me should learn to "take it as face value make a note and spell it differently next time"
How about next time someone makes a grammar error that the likes of you grammar police "take as someone not as clever as you and let it go" instead of going to the bother of pointing out others inadequate grammar.
But no this would take away your moments of glory and feeling superior.
Like I said smug with no tolerance of those with less knowledge than you ; but I guess that just in your eyes gives you some kind of kudos and if you want to be a teacher become one and don't lurk on football sites where most of us are simple folk .
Go to a site fitting your intellect .

Time to let it go and move on. If you happen to be in Prague I am more than happy to meet up and give you a hug.

Though I do have a habit of correcting people’s spoken English.
